To Buffalo:
D- M. Dumba
RW- J. Zucker

To Minnesota:
LW- E. Kane

Dumba has talent, but has it put it all together. Kane has talent and has shown it, but is inconsistent and has had some off-ice issues.

Gives Minnesota a top-9 of...
Parise-Staal-Coyle
Kane-Koivu-Niederreiter
Granlund-Haula-Pominville

Gives Buffalo a defense of...
Kulikov-Ristolainen
Gorges-Bogosian
McCabe-Dumba

I couldn't be more emphatic about the 'no' I just gave you. Ever.

The only thing that this guy did that stood out in a good way was his beat down of Matt Cooke.

Don't really know that any team goes for Evander at this point.

If he cleans up his act, and plays a solid team game and gets his points, then maybe his trade value goes up more reasonably. But at that point, I'd see the Sabres just keeping him.

Should just close the thread.

The person who made it obviously has zero insight into the value of these players. No sense in keeping it up, only to be mocked.

This trade really wouldn't do much for Buffalo. Plus although Kane is a pain in the ass, He's still by far the best player in this scenario.

Horrible proposal. Dumba is so underrated here. He's like 21 and just had 10G and 25P. His upside, if you bothered to watch him, is very high. Kane has negative value. He's immature, one-dimensional and plays tunnel-vision hockey. I wouldn't give Zucker alone for him. Woof.

Kane is a moron and his value is not near this high. Two stops and trouble in both. Buffalo is stuck with him unless they want to give him away. Personally I wouldn't want him on my team period.

By far is a pretty big stretch for a forward who just finished with 35 points, has missed more than 20% of his games due to injury since entering the league, and has been on a steady decline production wise for the last 5 years.

What a hypocrite. Maybe you should watch Kane a little more. He's one of the best forcheckers and backcheckers there is. He hits, and even fights when need be. Doesn't sound one-dimensional to me.

Just needs to work on not being arrested/charged. Best of luck with him. :)

I've watched him plenty. He plays the game at one speed...all he does is skate hard in a straight line and shoot every time he gets the puck. Thats a bad value for 5 million, Zucker does same thing for half the price.

Young RHD like Dumba carry a ton of value. He wouldn't be available for Buffalo unless they dangle a big fish like Nylander or a package of good picks. In OPs trade, Wild are trading for the Kane of 3 years ago, before word got out that he is a punk and has a truly atrocious hockey IQ.

So Kane arrested again... I dont think just Dumba will get all this grit into our team.

Can we have him for Dumba+Coyle+2017 1st? Please? Arrest winner for this season, leads the league in misdemeanors and only 6mil cap. Now that is a steal to look for.

I didn't say he wasn't a dumb ass. But when played in the right role, he's a good hockey player

Fletcher wouldn't add to Dumba to get RNH, a much more valuable player with fewer issues who happens to fill a position of need for the Wild. Why on earth is anyone thinking Kane would return Dumba, nevermind Dumba + another NHL forward.

Proposal does make me wonder. Two summers ago when someone proposed Coyle + Zucker for Kane and I stated there is zero chance I would deal Coyle alone for Kane and was torn apart by Jets fans......NAILED IT!

I disagree.

He has the best single season, sure. That's empirically true.

But taking into account year to year improvement and career trajectory, I would venture to guess that Dumba will be the better player this coming season. Straight up, no special context; the actual better player.
