Seravalli: Buffalo may not have a choice but to trade Peterka

And then you bring in a GM with credibility.

That's the issue there is almost nobody with credibility.

Why thus crap keeps coming around. Peoplr forget Sdamd played, was an agent, and he worked in administrative roles withsabres understanding other things a gm does beyond the roster

Brierre, Drury, Blake had a deal other former players had no experience as GM or president just like adams.

Drury worked under Glen Sather as AGM for 4 years.
Briere worked for the flyers for 2 years, in the ECHL for 5 years as a GM
Blake was AGM of the Kings for 4 years becoming a GM. He was also an assistant GM for Hockey Canada for a year.

Adams never served in any front office as a Scout, AGM, or GM in any hockey league at any level before becoming a GM.

Big difference.

I'd be perfectly happy with a Cirelli for Peterka deal.
I think Peterka is more talented, but Cirelli is what Buffalo needs.
Sabres would take that deal, agreed. Cirelli has been a solid part of a winning team, and has a sound two way game at a position of need. Don't see TBL going for the deal, especially if Peterka wants 7M+, though.

My love for you is like a truck, Peterka
Would you like some making f$@#, Peterker
My love for you is like a rock, Peterker

As a Sabres fan its so sad when you read that.

But Adams did manage a food stand at the arena.

Thinking of how Norris came out of nowhere for Cozens...

What does BUF need to add to Peterka to get McTavish? Both RFAs

I’m honestly not sure about that as a TB fan. Brisebois rarely misses an opportunity to shake things up and get younger. Assuming Peterka signs for roughly $7M, I think he’d be on that

McT is a Verbeek type player. Don’t see him getting traded. Z or Zell, are two players I can see being dealt by Verbeek that we have extras in their position that don’t fit Verbeek’s style.

Agreed. Tampa has plenty of good wingers who can score goals and play a similar game to Peterka. He's a very good young player, but not one that Tampa needs to lose Cirelli for with Tampa's C situation behind him.and Point. The 7-8 million that he's probably looking to get further restricts any other adds Tampa can make as well. It's not a good fit for Tampa.

Same temps in Ottawa, with less snow and one of his best friends to set him up. If he really does want out, Ottawa is likely high on his list just cause of Timmy

That would be a great add for Ottawa but does Buffalo want to trade him within the Atlantic?

That's the question

I think Peterka is a better player, I think he's got huge upside.
It's possible, but the numbers don't prove it out if you look at both their final ELC years, 68 points exactly. Then look at what they both did at WJC and it goes in Cozens' favour. 2 more years languishing in Buffalo could make JJP look bad too, like for Dylan

Peterka’s numbers improved greatly when he got away from Cozens. For a reason.

You’ll realize it soon.

That reason is Cozens isn't a centre, I'm well aware, its the Buffalo coaches who are/were in the dark about that reality. They're both good wingers, Dylan has more tools, JJP a better toolbox. They both can and will thrive in the right situation. Erase Cozen's last 2 seasons and then re-analyze things while remembering Cozens played a season sooner in his dev curve

Because It's been 14 years.

That's 100% proof.

There can't be another answer at this point
