One of my cards that the money comes out of is green.Mine is virtual and doesn't really exist since the bank loans it out to made money. I'll take your word that it's green.
He gets the crowd going at home. Whether or not getting the crowd going affects the rest of the team is anyone's guess.Bob already made this point, but that's what he was playing last year when he apparently saved the season.
Does that 3 minutes a game make a difference or doesn't it? We can't go both ways on it.

Those same players would all tell you Zibanejad is irreplaceable. The players have said it does. But when I say it, Im way out on a limb apparently.
I'd be down to give Lindgren away for a bag of old socks.I'd be down to trade Kreider to Dallas for a haul and get rid of Lindgren and Miller asap in good hockey trades.
I wouldn't mind a player like Greenway. Or at least this version of Greenway, because he's a little inconsistent. What push back did fans expect NYR to have last night? Are we talking playing with some balls, or are we talking taking matters into their own hands to deal with Greenway?
Greenway played 24 shifts last night. Even with Rempe in the lineup, we're probably not line-matching that and expecting Rempe to contain him all night. Greenway rarely starts fights that aren't sticking up for a teammates. He's a big, strong player, with good balance on his feet who's tough to knock over. He's a strong player who wont back down. He had to stick up for himself after a clean hit on Brady this year, but most of his fights are few punches followed by a wrestling match where he's on the losing side of things.

And now we're back to "this wasn't the case last year."This team plays so scared now they sleep with a night light on. It wasnt the case last year. It doesnt need to be Rempe, but the team needs to add players who will protect their net and teammates. Jordan greenway literally ragdolled Lindgren into Igor at one point, and injured our only D'man over 6'2 and then 5'10 Vinny Trocheck had to be the guy to body up to him. If you dont think thats a major problem with the team right now, idk what to tell you. And it all ties into how the defense and top 6 are constructed. They arent just soft because they dont stand up for themselves. They're soft because they don't hit, they don't forecheck, they dont block shots and they dont fight to get to the middle of the ice. Thats true "soft" hockey and the Rangers play it to a T.

I can't. You're Larry Brooks.
Same. But I also wouldn't expect another team to think we need a Rempe to contain him. He's a UFA so he could be a target at deadline if we somehow stay in the wild card/playoff race. I don't think I'd give him 16 minutes a game like Buffalo is doing, though.I wouldn't mind a player like Greenway. Or at least this version of Greenway, because he's a little inconsistent.
I'm basing this solely off what I see with no stats to back it up, but I don't really think this team is that much different than last year's in their style of play. The main difference to me is weaker goaltending & a power play not clicking to mask their issues. Their 5v5 play has not been good for years now and you're never going to win a cup like that (it also has nothing to do with a confidence boost imo). This team plays so scared now they sleep with a night light on. Larry just screams "the team is soft and I hate everyone" for years on end, so he's going to be right eventually.I know you're trying to insult me, but Larry's had better takes than you recently.

The changes they made this summer didn't do anything to address that. We are rolling out the same guys in the hopes that players "take a step" and become something they haven't proven to be for multiple seasons.
I don't really know what's next, probably not a complete teardown, but they certainly need to do more than shuffle peripheral pieces.
Let's say you purge all if the usual suspects, which pretty much everyone wants to do, and in the next couple of years, you're moving forward with a group that inlcudes: Chytil, Cuylle, Laf, Berard, Edstrom, Trocheck, Othmann, Sykora, maybe Rempe.
That group doesn't need more north-south, it needs more skill. If you think we need more grit, fine, but we don't need to outsource it. It's coming. The pipeline has very little east-west talent outside of Perreault.
I know, those types of players are expensive. That's why you shouldn't waste money on face-punching third liners. Cuylle, Berard, and Trocheck are going to be versions of the guys suggested that are better at everything.
Hell, Trocheck might be less expensive than Frederic on Frederic's next contract!!
It depends, as it always does, on what his ask is and how dumb other teams are willing to be, but absolutely we should consider it.I think we need to strongly consider re-signing Panarin (If he wants to stay) if no other better skill players magically hit open UFA and are interested in signing here like the McDavid pipe dream.
It's not ideal, but there's solid evidence that Panarin will still be plenty good until 37-38 years. Whether he just hits a wall like MSL we don't know, but I think bringing him back should be part of te consideration even if we say goodbye to Kreider, Zibanejad, Smith, Miller, Lindgren
You're better off signing up with al Kreider. Better environment. Better benefits.
Don't go begging for likes.C'mon this was funny @Machinehead. I actually laughed myself. Even Bob liked it.
