I'm a little surprised at the takes tonight; I thought we played a very good road game. It was far from a picasso, but that's a desperate team in their barn with a lot of skill and we competed well. Blocked a ton of shots, much better shot suppression and better coverage of the middle of the ice all night. Buffalo is much improved this year under Ruff and UPL played a very good game.
Big picture, they actually tried tonight. It's crazy that we have to categorize that as a positive when it should be a 24/7 thing is pathetic but hey, NY sports.
If they put forth that level of compete until the deadline, they should easily be able to float around a wildcard spot. And then you make your moves at the deadline with a booty load of cap space to play with.
I understand your sentiment, but objectively, I'd like the team to look far from a Picasso. Too often, their play and structure do look a little too...
