Mayor of Pawtucket has already told the Pawsox that McCoy is NOT an option for 2021.
There where articles that mentioned Fenway when the redsox are away and maybe Lowell as backup options. But At the moment it is looking like there will be a Northeast Based Class A league created and Lowell will be a part of it. Which would mean less available dates in April and May.

Hell baby
What excuse will they find to pay the minor leaguers dirt now that there will be far less teams they need to support?

Just to give people an idea on how malicious they are they quite literally lobby congress so they can suppress minor leaguers wages

While putting away things from the move I found a box of random things my dad had kept over the years. In that box was this card and clipping of a Reds player that my dad went to school with. They were good friends. Kind of neat that he kept this. I don't think Coleman was anything spectacular but according to his Wiki page he's in the Reds Hall of Fame so he must have done all right.

Ex-Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez, Jennifer Lopez won’t buy the Mets | How talks fell apart

Former New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez and fiancee Jennifer Lopez won’t be buying the New York Mets. That’s according to the New York Post.
According to multiple sources, Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez are no longer interested in buying the Mets. That decision was reached after negotiations with potential partners failed to materialize and it became clear that the Wilpons’ reluctance to part with SNY makes it almost impossible for anyone without many billions of dollars to afford owning the team.

You mentioned last year that Stuart Sternberg might take over the Mets. It seems like a missed opportunity that mlb isn't trying to engineer something. Right now where Sternberg and a partner takes over ownership of the Mets and the league can take over the rays situation themselves like they did with the expos.

The Red Sox are very happy with their long term relationship in Greenville, SC and it is no secret that their relationship with the Spinners has been rocky since Drew Weber sold the team.

The bigger issue right now is will MLB pay for the minor league clubs to operate without fans this summer.
Tricky question. On one hand, it'll be entirely unprofitable and somewhat socially irresponsible to let them all play. I could see braving it to go to Fenway or Camden Yards for a major league game, but who's going to actually go to a Lowell Spinners game in 2020?

On the other hand, if young players miss an entire season of development, that's going to really cause a talent dearth in the big leagues 3-4 years down the road. Not to mention what happens when you have an injury or double header and have to call up a player to replace them, what if there's no AAA ball and they've just been sitting there and twiddling their thumbs all summer?

I suppose an imperfect compromise would be to just hold two limited combined leagues restricted to the spring training campuses in Florida and with few to no fans allowed. It still doesn't solve most of the problems.

Are they projecting us to sign Blake Wood? Lol wild shit, I love it

Devers is going off! Can’t start Hall against the Yankees tho #FireRoenicke
I highly doubt JD Martinez would be hitting .210 though a month and a half as well.

Watching Game 1 of the 1969 World Series (NY Mets vs Baltimore Orioles) on SNY.

Mike Cuellar on the mound for the O's, Tom Seaver for the Mets.

Curt Gowdy with the play by play.

NEW YORK — Major League Baseball owners gave the go-ahead Monday to making a proposal to the players’ union that could lead to the season starting around the Fourth of July in ballparks without fans, a plan that also envisioned expanding the designated hitter to the National League for 2020.

MLB officials are slated to make a presentation to the union Tuesday.

Spring training would start in early to mid June, a person familiar with the decision told the Associated Press.

Each team would play about 82 regular-season games, against opponents in its own division plus interleague matchups limited to AL East vs. NL East, AL Central vs. NL Central, and AL West vs. NL West.

For the Red Sox, that would mean in addition to division rivals in the Yankees, Blue Jays, Orioles, and Rays, they’d also face the Phillies, Mets, Nationals, Braves, and Marlins.

Postseason play would be expanded from 10 clubs to 14 by doubling wild cards in each league to four.

That extra pair of wildcards makes our season meaningful.

How will the teams generate revenue to pay the players without fans?
They won't, they'll all be running at a deficit this year. But TV rights, expanded advertising, and licensing.make up some of the difference. I'm sure there will be some prorating of contracts as well as possible rollbacks and redistribution of money to keep small market teams afloat.
