The underrated part of this game is EJ only targeting Olofsson when he wanted to be physical against someone on his old team, since he never played with Olofsson and doesn’t know him.

I hope Bednar doesn't start milking him for games too quickly. I mean when you have a big backup and he gets worked like that, eventually he'll get pounded by some experienced group and he's going to feel drained.

I would go back to George against the Jets and see if he can elevate his game knowing that he could lose his crease to Pros for a bit here if he continues to let in softies.

I kind of think the opposite. Give Prosvetov the Jets since he’s playing well then go to Georgiev the next night to see if he can build some confidence against the Sharks.
Looks about right. All the lines looked good EXCEPT the third line, Miles Wood goal aside they were scary to watch tonight.
Holy shit was Nichushkin on a mission tonight especially the first. He REALLY wanted that goal.
Phenomenal game from Sam Malinski.
Lastly, much more emotional than I thought it was going to be with EJ’s return. Good guy who I hope comes back to work for the Avs when it’s all over.

TBH, come playoff time if we're healthy (including Lando) and we get playoff RyJo we should look pretty good. I'd like someone more consistent than RyJo but I don't foresee them moving him and just trading for him.

What line? Do the Avs even have a 2nd line? It seems like they only have 1st, 3rd and 4th lines. And it’s been a while, not just few games. I really don’t notice a 2nd line out there for the Avs
If you’re referring to the 27-12-90 line that one was actually not bad tonight. It was that line that set up Malinski’s goal. It was the third line of 28-20-25 that got gobsmacked all over the ice. Now, they too scored a goal, but apart from that one highlight they were mostly bad in this game.

Malinski is going to be dynamic if he can get his confidence going. He looks great with the puck.

Missed this one and just watched the extended highlights and EJ tribute. Man I got a bit teary eyed watching the EJ thing. The f***ing Condor. Gave us his all and I'm so happy that he got his cup with us. We're going to have to bring him back for a retirement deal sort of thing. That man must retire an Av. As far as the game is concerned, we won. Pack your shit up and go win the next one too. Fire Bednar AND George.

Also, that Sabres goal is so Avs. Another late period breakdown which results in a goal against. I'm concerned with the 5th goal where MacK threads the needle on a pass over to Nuke for the easy goal. That's just going to reinforce his whole passing through traffic thing he seems to do on the PP so often. Nuke looked like a man possessed from what I saw. Great to see Malinski get one as well. Hopefully we have something with him because this team really needs a good righty back on D not named Makar.

I missed the third due to sleep. I was very happy to see that Big Sam Malinski scored the goal that iced the game, and I stick by my earlier prognostication- Big Sam is now our 3RD.
