That would be a sick line, but as a Leaf fan I hope it never comes to fruition. Unless of course, Pietro, Parayko or ROR were coming to Toronto, but that would require a bigger package than Kappy.

FOR is going nowhere. His play has pretty much made him untouchable. I could see petro less likely parayko but your talking

IMO the Leafs are going to trade Nylander this summer. They need the cap space and Nylander's front loaded contract makes him an attractive $$$$ output of about 4.7m for the next five years of his contract.
So while a Risto for Nylander might be fair....it doesn't solves the Leafs cap issues. And the trade which was posted isn't good value for the Leafs. There is a deal with some team where the Leafs get a combo of picks or ELC prospects for Nylander.

Toronto says no. Nylander will cost at least Risto. Other than him, Eichel, Dahlin and Reinhart, the Sabres have nothing to offer the Leafs.

Yeah take on the contract you can’t afford. That’s why the guy proposed the idea, to free up money for Marner.
