GDT: BUF @ OTT - This is not an April Fools Day joke

I'm liking the start to this game.

And... Quinn wins a board battle to get the puck to Dahlin... I doubt we would have seen this a few months ago. But I HOPE this is the real Quinn and not a mirage.

He also seemed to be a negative in moral too.

Ever since Cozens left this team has a different approach on the ice.

I'm not going to start loving him unconditionally now, but that play on the assist is what I've been dying for

We know he's got finishing ability but he's been softer than power along the boards.

If he can do stuff like that for the rest of the season it will be 10x more exciting than a random snipe here and there

We've actually been bottom 10 in almost every 5v5 metric the past 10 games:

That was probably the hardest period Quinn has played since the injury. I mean…he may have been working that hard a lot of periods…but he was doing it in the right direction tonight.

Not a shot at Todd, it's just funny how the narratives swing

At one time it was that the team only showed up on big nights, 1st Vegas vs eichel, rj night, rj last game, Toronto outside game.

Now it's that they can't win even if there's pressure, but once the pressures off they win

But then the stats show the lack of pressure isn't really helping... So it will become about the contracts,or whatever else. I get it, the team is frustrating and confusing but sometimes explaining it turns to grasping at straws

Early today I was curious to see how the defensive pairs were doing since the Cozens trade, I was shocked to find out they were all getting their teeth kicked in. Then I looked a little deeper and it turns out that everyone, except Benson, has been getting caved in.

I was pretty surprised to see it, because I didn't think they've been bad. But I didn't dig very deep, it could be a handful of games are skewing the overall 10-game sample.

Yeah and admittedly my viewings of the last few games have been sporadic,so I can't speak to whether the eye test might be better than the numbers suggest. Although they are bad to the extent it's hard to imagine
