GDT: BUF @ OTT - This is not an April Fools Day joke

It's not just Chad D.

Another Sabres fan on Twitter that is reasonable with his takes:

Jack Quinn’s “improved” last 10 games:

xG%: 33%

xGF/60: 1.65

GF/60: 4.3

Please do not get fooled by this recent run. It is built on quicksand

Nobody is getting "fooled" .. of course a 33% shooting percentage is unsustainable... just like when his shooting percentage was 0% for the longest time earlier in the year it was unsustainable yet where was Chad? ..

Chad's views are shit and agenda and content driven.

It is an absolutely pointless observation as just about every single player goes on these little heaters.

Yeah, I mean a shooting percentage heater is high percentage is necessarily unsustainable when you are on a goal scoring stretch. The games you score goals have unsustainable shooting percentages.

I don’t get the point either

The point is...narratives are being built.

Is that the narrative he's sucked this season ?
The narrative he came into there season out of shape and did not work in the summer ?
The narrative he has an off ice issue that needs addressed ? (rumor only, I have no knowledge)

Well said. I've tired of Chad quit a bit. He had a lot to say about Greenway last offseason and then Jordan was their best player to start the season and he shut up real quick. He goes too far with the analytics imo. While I'm a big proponent of advanced data, sometimes there has to be more context involved.

To me, there's no doubt Quinn is looking like the better version of himself lately. He's getting the puck in more dangerous areas and his skating looks a bit less labored. I think it helps to be on a line that is working with two guys that can get up and go.

He'd largely been tied to Cozens, and they were both struggling. It just wasn't going to work with them both having no confidence. I could actually see a line with Peterka Norris and Quinn working too, but McLeod seems to compliment them very very well with his speed and apparent playmaking ability.

Nobody is going to disagree his year was shit. Nobody here knows he came into season out of shape and did not work in offseason. It's fine to guess as to why he is struggling but to state it as fact is just dumb.

1. Are you somehow of the belief that Chad saw him shooting 0 percent and was telling people this was going to continue?

2. The media has 100% been calling this Quinn week a “found his game” turnaround. So I don’t know what agenda you think he’s pushing other than…reality

3. Whenever someone attacks others about their perceived bias…it always comes from the same place. Don’t like what he said…even with numbers to back it up? Wonder how that happened.

So what we have here is you…with your bias…being mad at something that didn’t happen because you’re also mad that he talked down something that also wasn’t happening.

That’s bias. Identify it and be better for it

I've seen a couple different people talk about it lately.

He isn't creating quality chances.

He isn't creating a lot of shots on goal.

He is just on an insane shooting% heater (like 33% over the past 7 games).
That's unfortunate to read. I saw his shortie from the other night. That was nice play from him.

Wasn't there an article posted in his thread saying he had a nagging injury that impacted his offseason workout?

Idk.. I don't read his shit. I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. I refuse to give him clicks.

Sorry. I meant the Quinn thread:

Wasn't able to workout the way he wanted this offseason. From Lance at Buff News:

Quinn played the final 10 games last season after suffering the broken fibula in San Jose on Jan. 31, but it was too soon for him to train like he typically does each summer.

The workout limitations did not appear to be problematic until the season began in Prague on Oct. 4. Quinn’s first stride wasn’t as quick and efficient as it was before the injuries. He noticed lower-body strength was also a problem, which caused him to adjust his between-games workout routines

Though 11 games remained after Thursday night, the past several months have crystalized his summer plans and motivated him to improve quickly. “The league humbled me a bit this year, and I learned a good lesson in that,” Quinn added. “My mindset is strong, and my vision is strong in what I want to do this summer.”

If you didn’t refuse to read any articles from people who you disagree with, maybe you’d be open to learning more facts instead of just calling everyone dumb who says things you don’t want to be true.
