Is Greenway worth a 2nd?

Sentiment here and the Minny board seems pretty much the same. Maybe a bit high, but if he plays to potential in Buffalo it could be definitely worth it.

I like this trade and understand it, I don't agree with current value but it's a late 2nd so I'm not really that caring.

I remember Greenway before the coaching change so I see positives in this.

Not really...maybe it was an extreme example but every team every single year overlays for size and grit this time of year. For every small forward like glotov for example there is a jeannot example.

Half this fan base would kill for anyone with size and truclulence. The fact is if you dont draft it yourself you have to pay out the nose to get it. Theres no debating that at all. Your plan is flawed.ideally you'd manage drafting both combos because I dont disagree with drafting bpa etc based on skill. But gimme a foligno instead of a karabacrk or Cornell etc lol

The price seems high but the reality is if Greenway was having an 'on' year, he wouldn't be available and the price would have been a 1st.

Buy low, and let the process/vibes/coaches get the most out of this player. That is the way.

Minnesota is in the bottom 1/4 of scoring in the league and the Sabres are in the top 1/4 of scoring in the league. Greenway's point totals will increase and if he can play well as a defensive forward the contract/value (3 mil and late 2nd/5th) will be much higher two years from now.

When I started dating my now wife in 2016, she was working literally across the street from USA Hockey Arena. I wandered in there and got to talking with staff and asked who the most underrated player was on that team and both of the guys said "Greenway". So I've always kept an eye on him. Very happy to see what he does back under Granato.
