Skinner was a PPG player last year. The contract is still not good, but it's much better than it was the first three years.

It's also not all that painful of a buyout, to be honest. There's only one year that it does any real damage.

Congrats Sabres fans. It’s a huge deal and yet it’s still gonna look fantastic going forward. Getting him for all 8 years was the important part. Mission accomplished.

Hard to not see the Sabres becoming a power. All the core guys are basically locked up (aside from Power who will get his money) and the system is loaded. I think with this signing they are clearly up there as “team that hasn’t done anything yet but I’d most want have as my franchise”.

Skinner is overpaid by what? Like $1-1.5m? If his contract is the worst one we have, I think we're in great shape.

Makar, Fox, McAvoy, all are a lot under 11M and are better then him, but they signed under lower cap.

Dahlin ceiling is lower than Malar and Fox but probably better than McAvoy

He still needs to improve to be worth 11M

It's time for players to stop being nice and push for more $. Bobby Holik 21 years ago got 9 million per...
