I really wonder what some of our D men would look like in their own zone with better defensive coaching. I'm thinking specifically of Power and Samuelsson, but Joki probably falls in that category too. Offseason priority should be new assistant coaches and staff (I'm assuming there is no chance they get rid of Lindy)

Are we sure Lindy wants to continue?

I could see this season being enough to say it’s time to head home and call it a career.

He was talking about Alex Nylander who was traded for Joker straight up.

So we turned a top 10 pick in Nylander into Joki who turned into a 2026 4th round pick.
Nylander wasnt the 2017 draft though.

He’s also not an NHL player and Joker, for some reason, is…so they got more value out of that pick than they should have, honestly

I’ll say it. Is it a 3rd or even a 2nd if we retain salary and trade him to a contender?
If a contender wanted him…maybe you get a third, I guess. But I just don’t know why anyone would aside from what Boston is doing. Semi warm body to close out the year. Then move on

Oh god...another reminder of how farking clueless this organization is, when they took Alex f-ing Nylander instead of McAvoy/Sergachev/Chychrun. Time for another purge. My therapist says it's good in moderation...

Are we ever going to retain salary on a player to weaponize our low spending for the 100th year in row? One of these years it’ll happen.
Hey they took on a higher contract with Norris. His highest cash payments on his deal are all to come. Big ones too. Starting next year. His three lowest cash payments appear to have been this year and the last two.

And he’s the new highest paid forward on the team which is interesting,

It’s not nothing.
