Was at the game tonight, thankfully the tickets were free.

To lose, on home ice, with that kind of effort, against a team as shit as Detroit, who played last night in another time zone, is just so disrespectful to your fans. Absolutely not acceptable.

Building was quiet in the third because you could tell with the Jets effort that this was a loss.

Things need to change this offseason, and in a big way.

We probably got our fair share of points against top teams that we are a shit team to comparatively to though. That’s the NHL
and it shows in the standings..right!!??

I don’t understand how the Jets can be so broken….? Losing Big Buff, Tanev? The spectacular run to the WCF wasn’t THAT long ago! How did this team degenerate into what they are now?!
We lost our blueline and replaced it with Junk -
That's part of it - the rest is being discussed in the various threads

Anyway, better off losing at this point -
You have to assume they are going to make changes so there is really zero benefit to winning games to end off the season.
You don't want them throwing in the towel - and they don't appear to be - but a lose is likely better than a win right now. I don't want this roster / coach going into the playoffs where they will only be embarrassed.

Let this bunch play out the season and let the chips fall where they may - I wouldn't bother with anything beyond that including exposing the young guys to bad hockey and poor effort.

I have no problem with any of this (losing) if it leads to changes - because I'm not having much fun watching this team as it is built right now. In all honesty, I don't think most of the players have a problem with the current run either - they know they are not a viable team at this point and it'll only get better after it gets worse.

It continues to amaze me the disconnect where management seems to value hockey IQ so highly in players and then they employ coaches that are so system driven that it actively works against that very trait. If you're going draft high hockey IQ players, hire a coach that works that way. If you're going to have a coach that wants to play a specific big boy meat and potatoes game, draft players that work in that system. That's fine, it can work. But you can't draft for hockey IQ and then employ coaches that don't have that mindset.

Agreed 100%.

One of the reasons I'd want Vincent he seems to be very intelligent and allows his IQ guys to play their games.

What an awful game to watch... I ripped through it in 45 mins skipping big chunks of it.

Well they are done. Time to get the kids in and see what they can do.

I guess my few positives for the year:

-Conner took a step into the star winger category
-JoMo rebounded back into a good two-way top pairing dmen. Love the new offensive confidence he has, we will need that next year. Hopefully he is rewarded with more points.
-Dubois rebounds into a good and physical play driving C that seems to bring out the best in whoever is played with him.
-Comrie emerges as a good back up goalie

Its going to be a long last 11 games if Pefetti isn't available the rest of the year and if we refuse to bring up and play some of our kids.

There needs to be some hard decisions made this summer. This year shouldn't be acceptable to anyone in the front office.
And I am going to hate the coach for every game he sits Heinola.

Its gut check time for Jets management. It is probably the most pivotal offseason for the front office with the team in total disarray, the fan base largely apathetic and not filling the building. Does Chevy and co have the ability to navigate this or does Chipman clean house and bring in someone new and fresh to come in and figure out what is wrong with the state of the org and institute new thinking and change.

Yeah but you can't keep putting out 5 guys who aren't defensively responsible and expect to win at this level either. The Jets have too many one way players, no shut dmen and no goalie depth. Chevy built a lemon.
