Maybe Bergevin can talk Blake into another stupid trade.Kings are a good fit. 1st, Clarke/Greentree.
Any playoff team if Boston is realistic about his asking price.Who would seriously take him? Watching him in the 4 Nations clearly showed he is cooked.
He couldn’t keep up with anyone.
I'm guessing the bruins will want to send him to the west but I do wonder if Carolina could be in on this -- and not just as a rental but with the intention of extending him for 3-4 years. Or is this assumed to be a situation where he's traded for a cup run somewhere in a lost season then just signs back with boston regardless?
He can sign a one day contract and retire as a Bruin, he doesn’t need to return. Trade him for every asset they can get. It’s just unfortunate that Sweeney is the one pulling the triggerI think Bruins fans are foolish if they just assume Marchand would come back. He might! Three kids (including a step kid which I know nothing about, but could complicate moving far away) and a wife from the area. But, he also might not.
I raise you with the potential Washington line of Marchand - Dubois - Wilson. To Montréal.
And than put Marchand and Gallagher on the same line, to form the most well-liked line in the sport

To Colorado Marchand and Carlo for Mittelstadt Malinkski and a draft pick.
Trade for Nick Cousin too
While it may be true Marchand no longer has separation speed, his hockey IQ more than makes up for it on both sides of the puck. I'm not saying he doesn't at times take questionable penalties - most this year have been out of frustration. But, if you are looking for someone for your third, or occasionally second, line that knows what it takes to score and be successful and be an example of what type of work effort and commitment it takes at this level demonstrating how it is done for younger players on your team - Marchand is all heart. If this Boston team had any type of forward depth he would be phenomenal as a third line wing with powerplay and penalty killing skills.Who would seriously take him? Watching him in the 4 Nations clearly showed he is cooked.
