Easier from up here
Yeah, unfortunately, his trade value is very low.
The Bruins should just chalk up Senyshyn to overthinking the obvious and move on.

I wonder after Thursday's game if we could do the following (I'm prepared to get peppered because I'm a Looch fan)
Milan Lucic 50% retained + Ryan Strome
for
David Backes and Danton Heinen/Ryan Donato
We bring back a popular player who adds size and toughness to our line up for 3 million/season and who has been the last real player to show insane chemistry with Krejci plus we address our 3C issue over the next two seasons and let the kids develop. Strome could learn a lot from Bergeron and I feel be a really effective 3C
Oilers get out of Lucic's contract and take on a slightly shorter one in Backes who's real money owed plus the retention from Lucic's is basically a wash. The key piece for them is they get Heinen/Donato who are young up and coming wingers who can play with Drais and really help drive that 2nd line.
Sam Bennett solves the third line center issue for years to come, provides grit and leadership and may still have some room for offensive improvement. I can't see Calgary making that deal. I wold do Virtanen for Senyshyn, Senyshyn is trying to round out his game and become what Virtanen is now, a fast, physical player who can pop an occasional goal. Senyshyn's value could be at an all time low right now, not sure if you would get anything for him. They may have to accept the fact that he is never going to be more than a 4th line speedy wing at best. Hopefully management has had a talk with him about fitting this roll and becoming more physical and a forechecker as opposed to being a scorer. Get something out of him even if it turn out to be a bigger Accairi.I
I would. I would even dump senyshyn for sam Bennett. Jake virtanen.
Honestly, I'm not a crazy follower of Lucic anymore and I'm a realist, I know he regressed last season like crazy but I hate David Backes so much. He created a problem for us in that he gets paid 6m a season and he's largely ineffective at Center and a huge waste of cap space for the 4th line. If we could get a 3C, rid ourself of Backes and get some muscle up front in a different type of deal, I'd be all for it.But they get LOOOOOOOCH back so it's obvious a winning trade.
Backes’s best stretches were at center but for some reason Cassidy refused to play him there for more than a handful of games. Cassidy just said Backes was plan C for 3C. Makes no sense to me that a guy like Kuraly would be ahead of Backes who’s played center his whole career. Now that he’s centering the third line he already looks better than he has at wing IMO. Let’s give him more than 2 games this time to see what he can do.Honestly, I'm not a crazy follower of Lucic anymore and I'm a realist, I know he regressed last season like crazy but I hate David Backes so much. @compan I guess we're entitled to our own opinions, I just don't think Backes is good at all, I think we get more out of a guy like Lucic than him. I also think Strome could be something, we have a lot of kids and outside of Studnicka, I wasn't overly impressed with the other two. I am not an idiot an gonna say the kids at center are busts because they are that, just kids, but I think they're 1-2 years away from making an NHL impact so we need someone on our 3C thats not named Kuraly.
You get a number three center with speed, you get some size and muscle with Lucic at 3m which is an ok contract. I love David Backes, part of it is his off ice charity work with dogs but I remember him in st louis and have always liked him. I think he may still be a good player but Cassidy needs to say "this is your roll, go do it for the rest of the year". Heinen is a possible over payment, Donato needs time in the minors, he looks lost right now. He could develop into a smaller, less physical Mantha or he could become Vatrano. What exactly do we get out of this besides a slight savings on the cap? We give up the two best players in the deal to get Lucic back?
Yea, only if they also get a time machine. Because THAT LOOOOOOCH hasn't been seen for many years. But they get LOOOOOOOCH back so it's obvious a winning trade.

If giving up Heinen or Donato I wold look for a better return but that may cost more cap space.
Exactly. Its just bruins fans wanting something that isn’t there anymore.
Nylander played a lot of C last year. If you trade Debrusk for a RW for that 2nd line you just shuffle your needs and now you need a LW for that 2nd line.
Nylander for Krug is interesting. I would be trading for him to be play Center. Fills big needs for both teams. Would be tough exchanging big time players in the division but these two teams have traded in the past (Kessel and Kaberle)
Makes the offense super deep and we keep the D we have now which hasn't be horrible the past two games. Plus we have Vaak, Lauzon and Zboril very close.
Marchand-Bergeron-Bjork
Donato-Nylander-Pastrnak
Debrusk-Krejci-Cehlarik
Heinen-Kuraly-Backes
I like Bennett better than Strome, even though I still think Strome has a higher offensive potential. What about Cehlarik and Senyshyn for Bennett, I still don't believe it would get it done as Calgary is in a win now mode or at least would want NHL ready players back but if you could do that I think it would be a good trade. senyshyn is quickly looking more depth forward than impact forward and Cehlarik would get a start with an organization that may provide him with more of an opportunity than Boston has, although I do like having him around for depth.I would have no issue with the B’s acquiring Bennett. Fast, physical, has some skill. Like him a lot better than Strome to be honest.
I wouldn’t give up Heinen, Bjork, or Donato for him. I would give up Cehlarik + or Senyshyn +, but don’t think it would get it done.

And people think David Backes is slow . . .
I would package zboril senyshyn and even offer a 1 st round pick to get a nice third line center. Or I was thinking maybe a senyshyn for ryan strome from Edmonton . He's struggling and maybe he will find his game here. Senyshyn is really worrying me. Cut our losses now. He has a little value.
You never make any trade proposals here. Are you some kind of self appointed expert?I hate these posts. Cut our losses now. Get out of here. Also what a trash waste of players. All that for a 3rd line center?? Vomit.

Chara Senyshyn for Nylander.
I don’t think he’d completely wrong. Maybe just ahead of the curve a bit.I hate these posts. Cut our losses now. Get out of here. Also what a trash waste of players. All that for a 3rd line center?? Vomit.
