I never had any ill feelings towards Iggy for how things transpired. I put more blame on the media for their premature ejaculation in getting the story "first". As Chia said.....these things happen more than we think.....they just dont make it to mainstream media.....Aaron Ward doesnt jump the gun....this is a non-issue.

Can't say I disagree. A lot of it was the letdown factor...it seemed like Chiarelli himself even had it at the time. It's easy to move on from now as he goes home.

I was so wrong in my prediction for how this series would turn out. And I'm so happy to be able to say that.

This team is really something special.

I feel bad for Vokoun, and also for Iginla, believe it or not (though with more mixed feelings, of course). He was really mis-placed out on PIT's left wing.

Truth be told, my opinion of Crosby has worsened in the course of this series. Few "C's" are so out of place in the NHL as the one that sits on his jersey.

I have always been a big believer in Karma! Karma is real people.. Amazing how the Jerome Iginla thing worked out, right.. They went all out and got a star filled team and for what... A high powered offense and scoring beautiful goals, one timers etc wont win you championships.. But good team chemistry will. A team that goes all out and executes there game plan and believes in there coaches system.. Let me shut up.. They dominated the Pens! 3-0 6-1 2-1 1-0

Penguin fans must be so confused... I don't feel bad. They were all just so confident

Agreed.. Man the s^^% they talked on the NHL website and the TSN site.. The majority of them were so cocky. I swear I just wanted to cuss them out.. I'm watching the Crosby interview now, and well no wonder why there fans act that way. Not once did he mention our team the Bruins.. What a piece of !!!! I don't see much difference between him and Cooke.. Just a bunch of cocky sob..

So proud of this B's team to not just beat but sweep the Pens in this series. It certainly feels like a team I watched just a couple years back :handclap:.

No remorse for Iginla, he chose wrong and has to deal with it. Crosby was miserable all series and I hope this takes him of the pedestal he's undeservedly on. From their fans to their front office Pittsburgh fans seemed generally arrogant and never gave the B's an ounce of credit despite carrying the series. And to finish.... my favorite post of the Pens board came after Game 1... don' remember the user name and it doesn't matter... the quote was "The Bruins will not win another game in this series, I've never been so confident of anything in my whole life". Hope that guy wasn't a betting man :)

Crosby can not will himself to mention the Bruins or Rask by name.

"We had our fair share of opportunities. We either had pucks hop over our sticks, or hit posts, or didn't execute for different reasons. So, um, yeah he's (Rask) part of it but there's a number of things we'll look back on and know we could have been better."

So funny seeing Jagr dive over whoevers back that was onto the ice trying to clear the puck on that last scramble.

On the one hand this could definitely be looked at as arrogantly failing to give his opponents proper credit, but you gotta also realize he's their captain and has to come out and hold himself and his team accountable for their failures. I think that's probably where his head is at right now.

Was at the game and didn't see Cooke in the handshake line.
Was that mentioned at all here or on tv?

Don't really think it was mentioned. From watching it, though, everyone shook his hand but that was it. Nobody really looked at him at all and from what I saw nobody said anything. They just kept walking straight ahead and handled shaking his hand as what is was; something they were required to do.

Crosby is an arrogant punk and got what he deserved.

Thanks. Just saw the Lucic gif further up the thread. He may have been off the ice before I realized.

Well done, B's. As someone who doesn't normally root for a 2nd team, I've found one in Boston over the past few years. It's a team with admirable character and resiolve.
