If it’s Geekie then the bar is set pretty low as far as Johnson helping the team. I think he will .
I’m not expecting a goal scoring explosion. He’s a vet who’s had success in the past. Another veteran voice on the bench who can help the younger guys. He has scoring touch. Maybe 2nd unit PP? He’s not afraid to get to the net despite his lack of size. Salary vet minimum, not a high risk move here.

Like most probably figured, Geekie comes out (he’s earned it) and Johnson fits on to that line. Either at C or RW.

Will be interested in seeing if there’s any chemistry between Poitras and Johnson. I think this is the right call, keeping the fourth line and the Coyle line together. Just hoping for a spark by replacing Geekie.
Sad to see how much Geekie has gone downhill from last year.

Geekie is a complete waste of space. No loss if he comes out. What’s sad is having not one player in Providence better that Tyler Johnson, a player that every team in the league passed on.
