LOL, too early to tell. Absolutely some good players, but at times still looked poor along walls, bad puck possession and breakouts aren't getting enough support.

But, I keep hearing the right things from the Gallant crew.

I'm easy to please: if they can come out of the gates this season with a strong forecheck(win or lose). I'll be satisfied.

If they can have a smoother transition, I'll be thrilled.

Panarian was Panarin. Cherrypicking and making some nice passes against a scrub Bruins squad that didn't know how to protect lanes down the middle.

Individually, our D corps is real bright. Jones was stellar and Schnieder was also very good.

The forwards were up and down. At stretches they couldn't possess the puck or sustain forecheck.

Other times they were able to get their skating legs and outhustled.

Jones - Schneider is something I never knew I wanted until I saw Vince's tweet this afternoon. It lived up to expectations and then some. Keeping with tradition, Nemeth will fill the role of expensive 7th D.

I think at least partially it has to do with not playing against Trotz's Islanders. They frustrate, smother, clog lanes and keep offense to the outside. I said it before, but they are a bad match for preseason evaluation.

IDK about you guys, but two games in I'm comfortable saying that I hate all the guys I hated, like all the guys I liked, and was pleasantly surprised and disappointed, respectively, by the guys I expected to feel that way about.

Meanwhile, @SnowblindNYR hated all the guys you liked. Then hated them second-helpings for good measure. If you liked the goaltenders tonight, he definitely hated them.

He's 21. Some time in the AHL wouldn't be the worst thing for him to be honest.
