I thought pretty strongly that the only way for him to survive and be awesome was to play wing even strength and PP QB.
He's so tiny, I wouldn't have picked him before the 3rd round.
The lesson, as always, is to never listen to my pearls of wisdom.

Size matters. It’s hard to draft tiny defenders in the first round. Looks like every team missed on him. He is one of the best players in his draft year I’d say.
No need to defend it when the production is comparable top 5 D in the league...he s not Grezlyck type
And it is not like the Bruins missed on their pick, as Poitras has been the 2nd best player taken outside of the top 10 in that draft so far. As good as Hutson has been if the Bruins could trade Poitras for Hutson today, i don't know that they would

He easily had the highest upside of any player available when the Bruins picked in the 2nd round, that is not debatable
I watched him many times live with BU and the NTDP ,he is pure talent
But I know how drafting him would have been received in this place
I believe he was ranked as a top 5 talent. To small they said. No way tree trunk legs and ultra skilled. People are obsessed with size. Having one small Ultra skilled d man on a team is fine. I wish people would measure the size of a guys heart when evaluating a player. Look no further than our very own Marchand.

Bruins have a decision to make with MD and BB in Providence for next year as I assume Svedeback will be promoted to the AHL once we sign him to a contract?
The way MD is outplaying BB this year, I would sign him to an extension.
