Post-Game Talk: Bruins over Jackets in S.O., 3-2

If I hear "2 pts are 2 pts" or "doesn't matter how you get em" again I'm going to flip.

As opposed to viewing last night as a win, I think of it as "the Bruins couldn't beat a ****** team in regulation and were lucky not to lose in regulation."

True.

But the standings don't care and they pick the playoff teams.

Don't disagree with the approach your method takes when evaluating the drop off in talent, but Bergy has played tough minutes his whole career. I expect a pretty sharp cliff for him around 34. His style just doesn't lend itself to a super lengthy career. In 60 minutes he plays harder than some play in 90.

I think the Bruins brass expects that too, that's probably why he'll be paid 4.75M from that point on.

ive always liked hartnell.
that shouldnt of been a penalty on him last nite. he wasnt even in the crease. it was a major flop by gus.

I watched it on DVR. Hartnell leaped as a shot was taken, and landed right on Gustavsson's feet/ankles with his blades. I get 200 pounds of Hartnell stomping on me, I'm going down too. Not hating on Hartnell, but he lives in/around the crease.

Yes, much much better if they play great and lose. :sarcasm:

literally every single NHL team has games like this..

The goal is that if you do happen to play crappy in one game, hopefully you pull some points out of it. Honestly it doesn't matter what team you're playing against whether it's the best team in the league or the worst. The thing about hockey and especially in the NHL, any team can beat any other team on any given night. That's just the way things are.

In short.. enjoy the win and be happy the Bruins got points out of it. Life is too short to be that worked up over something so dumb.

I'd still prefer to be entertained at least. Last two games were anything but well played hockey or entertaining.

We will take the two points but if this team doesn't wake up in terms of effort then another top 4 defenseman is a much lesser issue.

There will not be a Cup this season so I just try to enjoy the wins. It was ugly but may lead to better things. Spooner has won two shootouts for us, that is exciting compared to last season...

Sums up my feelings perfectly when playing EASHL on NHL 16 with my buddies. But they're learning, I can't get too mad lol.
