wait.
have tge bruins ever won a playoff series down 3-1??
i cant remember them ever doing it

I don't buy the whole, "never did this in their history". I doubt Pasta is worried about something that happened, or didn't happen, in 1957. Besides, the Bruins never came back from 0-2 and they did it twice in 2011. Having said that, this team is a far cry from 2011.

The one thing giving me hope is that all 4 games have been winnable.

Really???

I just don't see it. They have no fire. To me McAvoy and Chara were the two best Bruins along with Tuukka. The only way they go into Ottawa and pull out a win is if they make some line-up changes because right now there isn't much of a pulse!

The Sens have no fire either.

Those were 4 games that could have gone either way.
2 bad teams that should have no business being in the conference semi-finals.

Every team in the league probably has a woeful record when down 3-1. The odds are probably near single digits that they win 3 straight at this point. Teams that are down 3-1 are mostly down because they are not as good.

The sens are coached to have no fire. Boucher is my least favorite coach in any sport, ever. And that goes back way before this series. He produces terrible hockey. Makes CJs system look entertaining.

The odds are definitely not in their favour but I'm a glass half full type of guy. Now, the Bruins make me throw back several glasses with how they play at times but I digress. The Sens won 3 in a row. Why can't the Bruins.......on second thought, don't answer that.

Why is anyone shocked? I thought the Bruins had a great chance over Ottawa, but we are simply too beaten up.

Any team that is dressing Schaller, Vatrano, Spooner, Liles, and Nash will be one and done in the playoffs. Period. Thats 20% of players right there.

Marchand and Bergeron are getting way too much attention with the lack of tertiary scoring. There is not enough skill or jam to spread between three lines, much less four.

The Bruins once vaunted fore-check is a shadow of its former self. There is no bite on the checks, the Senators D has not been wore down the way that the Bruins were able to in the past. No big burly guys like Looch and others, now just a smaller, less energetic lot that worries no skilled Dman on the other side.

Its great having playoff hockey again, but dang I forgot how frustrating it can be at times when you bring ponies to a horse race.

This was never the Bruins year. I'm just glad McAvoy drew in. Kid will be a stud if he isn't already.
Spooner needed to step up in this series and lead the secondary scoring and he **** the bed badly. Barring a six point explosion to win this series, he is 100 percent done as a Bruin.

Only the NHL can ruin the pure experience of a playoff goal. I don't plan on spending this type of money on a game again while the NHL shoots itself in the foot like that. Get rid of the dreaded coach's challenge.

Felt like the linesmen could hardly get a call right 50% of the time tonight. Brutal.

The Senators' 1-3-1 is perfect for Karlsson as it allows his offense to thrive but it is damn impossible to watch. If the Bruins lose I will be rooting for their next opponent to squish that system.

Do not want to see it rewarded or entice other teams to adopt that garbage.

Only 1 PP after how last game ended is a disaster as well.

What a deflating night.

Did Ottawa even attempt a shot in the 3rd after their goal aside from the PP? That is not hockey.

Go back in time to December and ask yourself how disappointed you'd be if we went down 4-1 or 4-2 in the first round. Probably wouldn't feel too bad, considering we'd just been through a lot - literally having our third and fourth goalies on the roster. Remember how much fun that was?

I didn't even think we had much of a shot against Ottawa healthy. Yes, yes, yes, regular season doesn't mean anything...but we didn't win against them this year. Ever. And 3 out of our 4 games were in March/April, IIRC - close enough to measure our will and desperation. It just doesn't match up.

Add to that the fact that 66.6667% of our top 6 defensemen were injured for at least a good number of or playoff games. We've got a lot of players who've never been in the playoffs. A lot of players who've never been in the playoffs in a Bruins uniform. You can count on one hand the players who actually were on the ice for our 2011 Stanley Cup run.

We've got a bright future. McAvoy looks like he gives a damn. Pasta's still only played 5 games of playoff hockey. Yeah, I'm kind of ready to pack it in this season...but not ready to give up on the team.

So what is the point in separating Pastrnak from Bergeron and Marchand to create secondary scoring if no secondary scoring is created?

Who knows,I don't think Cassidy tried anything with the lines tonight,Rolled 4 lines all night. Not sure if I really want him back next season.

Oh man, they lose Friday and this place is going to be fun this summer.

Are you suggesting the majority of Bruins fans are expecting this team to mount a comeback after what we have seen the first 4 games? Anyone who hasn't braced themselves for the possibility of this team losing to the Senators by now is in denial.
