I like Avery's breakdowns. The only guy in the Rangers universe willing to tell the truth publicly. He has correctly identified that Mika and Miller are the main problems with the team. He knows puck.

Edit: I want to just add in that Avery has plenty of breakdowns on the Rangers that are highlighting their good play. He loves Lafreniere specifically.

I just grow tired of hearing "that's dumb, that's lazy, that's bullshit" from a guy who went offside 22 times a game and alienated himself from every team he was on.

His targeting of Zibanejad is rich considering Avery's off-ice distractions make Mika look like Nathan MacKinnon.

He was a model, an actor, a business owner, a walking soundbyte, and a coach's worst nightmare, out of the league at 31 because he didn't give a f*** and he's gonna talk about what Mika did over the summer. He's projecting.

If Valiquette said it, who's done nothing in his life but hockey, I might be more receptive to it.

I think it'd be more fun if he was funnier. He used to put up vids of him in the bike lanes in NYC that were funny, but he's obviously just bitter, can't really even talk about the game with any more insight or rigor than like Messier even though Avery has always so badly wanted to be taken seriously as an "intelligent" guy

Pretty routine sh*t-play-get-2-points game, maybe a little wobblier than usual. We still have issues in all 3 zones, but at least there are a lot of teams that give us plenty of time and space in the ozone during the regular season.

I'm sorry but it needs to be said cause it's getting a little much. Players run into each other all the time. It happens. Unfortunately Chytil may be hurt.

But Chytil is NOTORIOUS for skating with blinders on. He routinely has near misses for getting killed near the red and offensive blue line. He is reckless, fast and fragile. A dangerous combo.

What i am getting at is it isn't Miller's fault and it's not Chytils fault. 2 players got mixed up and it happens. Hopefully Chytil is OK.

Chytil also got hurt in a collision w Sammy Blais (when he was on the Rangers).

Right, like if it was just meant to be ridiculous, I wouldn't mind so much.

It's a bitter old man calling out anything he perceives as lazy or not playing the right way, because he knows that was him.

He gave a shit for one season and was one of the best 5v5 players in the league. Beyond that he couldn't stay employed.

It's dawning on him now that he lost millions not staying in the league.

Vally does his fair share of calling out the team without upset the Party bosses, I respect him for that.

Avery is an entertainer you have to take him for what he is. I still like him because he’s a New Yorker through and through and embraces the city. And still pulls for the Rangers. Yeah he’s done some regrettable things and he was punished, but what he’s saying isn’t untrue. The guy played with Jagr, he knows the game.

It’s indistinguishable from some random old fat guy yelling at the TV but since he’s a former player with a gruff persona people will meatride him for “telling it like it is”
