For anyone watching, what's Bjork looking like?

Watched the 3rd and McAvoy (3rd pair with TVR) was great. Set up Dvorak for a wide open net and he heeled it.

The lineup had Bjork in it (4th line) and Greenway not dressed, but I saw Greenway play 3/4 shifts so Bjork might have been a late scratch?

US dominates game, but loses to Germany 2-1 on a late PP goal. Maybe Bjork gets in after the L.

McAvoy has picked up right where he left off in the NHL playoffs. Knock on wood, but if he follows a normal progression path over the next couple of years, there is no way he doesn't become a first pair stud.

Just finish watching the US lose againt Germany.
U.S. were the better team, had more chances and the better one, just couldn't finish.

McAvoy was amazing, didn't play much in the first two period but then the coachs realize it would be smart to play him more. He missed two chance in the slot, one were he was stoped the other he miss the net. Also set up two grade A+++ chance with cross crease pass, one where Shmaltz(I think it was him) shot on the outside of the net and the other where Dvorak just fans on his one timer. Great, great game by him and he'll defenetly have more ice time next game imho. He was 2nd for ice time in the 3rd behind Trouba.

Bjork is the extra foward. On some theam they rotate on the fourth line to make use of the extra foward ... well not on this team. I taught I only saw him one time in the 1st then I saw on the boxscore he also had an 11 sec shift in the 2nd ... Less than a minute of ice time for him today, so yah ...

Don't they dress 13 forwards in IIHF competitions? Probably that

odd TOI for McAvoy, coach didn`t seem to put him out there the first two periods then seemed to realize he should have and put him out quite a bit in the 3rd where he looked very good.

Bjork ? I didn`t even see or hear of him during the game?

Edit, just saw Glory`s post about him not playing

Did not see the game but caught a few highlights. USA fired 43 shots at Greiss. Gaudreau had numerous grade A chances and could not solve Greiss.

Few Ex Bruin organization connections with Germany. Marco Strum is the Head Coach. Dennis Sidenberg and Denis Ruel are both manning their blueline.

Belarus gave the Finns a run. The Finns Needed a late 3rd period goal for the 3-2 win. The days of the traditional powerhouse nations posting 18-1 victories no longer exist at the world level. The games global growth has substionaly levelled the playing field.

Watched the US game, McAvoy was tremendous. He will get a lot of ice in all situations for this team the rest of the way. Bjork played one shift, he has obviously been beaten out for the 12th forward spot by Greenway. US looked good, fun, fast team. Germans couldn't skate with them but played a strong defensive game, blocking shots, staying in lanes and good sticks. Great goaltending helped too. Heading over to Europe next week and will catch US twice in Cologne. Looking forward to it.

Nice summary. McAvoy was out there for the final push at the end, which says everything. I love the thought of Blashill slowly coming to terms with how good he is as the game progressed.

Dennis ruel is top pairing for Germany. Good for him, to bad he couldn't make it to the Bruins.

Bjork will get more ice time as the tournament does wear on. The situation with the score and play of Greiss did not lend itself to using him. Lots of games to play in which the situation will be far more favourable for him. The one area of concern for him would be as NHL teams are eliminated and additional players are added to the roster his chances to play, or perhaps to even dress, will be an issue.

Bjork and mcAvoy chatting it up on their way off the ice at the end of the first.

doesn`t look good folks, my very informed inside source tells me, and I quote

CM "your dead to me if you don`t sign immediately following this tourney",

"tense" is how my source described the exchange:sarcasm:

great gesture from Bellemare, was given player of game, refused it, and gave it to the goalie who earned it
