maybe by the time the avs trade duchene, sakic will be kissing babies and shaking season ticket holders' hands instead of making major hockey decisions. several folks who know the goings on there told me he had no idea what kind of time commitment this job entailed - he's better off in a figurehead role.

The Media is being used by Duschene agent and Sakic

Boston is part of the 'using'

Who would you rather have?

Considering the 25-year old is Ryan Spooner, I'd rather have Matt Duchene.

But it is worth noting that if Boston traded for Duchene, assuming Spooner isn't part of the deal going back, he's likely gone anyways as they can't fit both Duchene's cap hit and Spooner's raise (assume 2.5-3.0 million) into their salary structure once Pastrnak gets his new deal.

Carlo ++, no way in hell. If he does a Carlo, Debrusk, and 1st or JFK it would make Sweeney Chia 2.0 on steroids. If a trade like that goes through the entire front office should be fired on the spot.

Why are we still talking about this? A legit source said chances are around 2% we trade for Duchene

ok sleepyh, July 4th, what would ya like us to yakk about? I`ll chime in as to whether or not I think it`s worthy of a conversation;)

Haha.. I did follow up with an understanding of the response.

But maybe what we would be willing to give up for C.Dvorak? Considering Dom vouched for the source that noted our inquiry for him. Could he be had without McAvoy? Or how about do we really think Bjork can already be penciled in next to Krejci? Do we really think Sweeney does? Beleskey after being benched in the playoffs? Forgive me, there are already other threads to discuss such items, but since you asked..

What happened to Kane? Is he still available?

Dvorak would be a guy I would think would replace either Krejci or Bergeron as a top two center, not sure if he plays LW. So barring a huge blockbuster with key pieces going both ways, I don't know why they would trade Dvorak to us.

Kane would not be an option while Kevan Miller is on this team.

I bet he gets moved to a team like Nashville out of the blue in January.

I guess I am way more bullish on Carlo than most so most trades involving him are absolutely ridiculous to me. If you trade him, you better be getting an absolute stud C back and I don't see Duchene or Landeskog in that category. Carlo+? Hell no.

A lot of the projections on here that I read are a #3-4 shutdown guy but what I saw last season was a guy who can and will likely be an ideal #2 d-man. Kid has size, skating ability, poise beyond his years, and is a "Bruins" type of guy. Plus for the next two seasons he costs less than dirt. 29 other teams would love to have this player.

The thing with Carlo is that he has already shown he can play a key role on D in his first season. He is on a cheap ELC contract for the next two years and I don't see him posting big offensive numbers so his 2nd deal won't be very high either.

A low cost good/great young D improving is very valuable for the Bruins and that's the reason I don't trade him for a 6M player like Duchene.

Spooner, D prospect and 1st.

I don't think you're way more bullish on Carlo than most by any stretch. Seems almost everybody here thinks the kid is great and is reluctant to give him up, even for young talented players. Everybody's got the right to their own opinion on a player of course.

That's essentially a 1st, a 2nd/3rd (Spooner's value) and a D prospect. Do we have a D prospect good enough to make that package enough for Matt Duchene?
