Well, they have already proved that they can get the job done without McAvoy, Marchand, and Grizzly........

This might be the longest that the B's have gone into a season without having to call someone up from Providence.

Hope it’s not too bad. He did score 2 goals with it.

Regardless he should be given full time to heal. Hurts because he fits anywhere in our top-6 and has been fantastic, but will be nice to see someone else get a shot there for a bit. Hopefully just a few weeks.

Hope it's not too serious. But in the meantime, it's great to have the depth we have. I suppose they can move Pasta back up to the 1st RW, move Hall up the DK's left and Zacha moves to RW?

Do not know when it happened, but with his foot in a skate, and it tied up tight, it is holding everything in place.
Take that skate off and things begin to swell up.

I would guess his foot was probably throbbing in pain from the supposed laser beam puck that went off of it. Being a professional Hockey player he probably just figured he took a dinger and it was bruised until yeah, the skate came off.

Googling recovery time looks like 6 weeks minimum, often is 3 months. May still require surgery, will have to re-xray after the swelling goes down.

Well, that sucks. Opportunity knocks for someone like Wagner or Greer to make an impact in the bottom 6. Might make the TDL more interesting.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. No way the B's were going to make it through to the playoffs without being bit by the injury bug.
Hate to have anyone get injured but at least Jake has the advantage of being young and should heal fast. But a lot depends on how serious of a fracture on when he'll return

At least it is the fibula and not the tibia.

Fibula is the outside bone in the leg that connects to the ankle at the knobby piece.

Tibia is the shin bone.

Depending on severity they can probably put in a plate/screws and he can be back in 6-8 weeks.

The fact that he was in a boot with no crutches is very good as he has some weight bearing abilities.

Positive thoughts to him and a speedy recovery.

He was wearing a walking boot at the post game presser.
If it was anything more than a fracture he wouldn't have been given a boot without crutches
