I’m not certain how he’s coming back. If he’s better then 90% awesome. If not I question how much he will help. I hope he was rested and rehabbed fully.
Oh of course. Just knowing he’s around the team and skating though, it’s a nice feeling.

Today’s Globe:

The Bruins remained without their top two blueliners, Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm, still sidelined by injury. Lindholm, out since Nov. 12with a knee injury, has been skating on his own for the last week and also participating briefly in the club’s on-ice drills. His next step: participate in full practices, including contact.

McAvoy, believed to be bedeviled by a wrist injury, sat out his third straight game. He also has been skating on his own, his injury still being “evaluated,” according to Sacco.

Cole Koepke, clobbered by a Darren Raddysh hit Jan. 14, left the ice on rubber legs and per Sacco remains “in protocol” — standard language for players who’ve been concussed.

Can't wait to see this new iteration of Minimum Jones (I love that nickname, thanks @Saxon Eric!). Let's hope he can find a better balance between truculence and discipline this time around.

Swayman: ‘Cautiously optimistic’

After missing Thursday’s game with an upper-body injury, Jeremy Swayman was back for Friday’s practice. Sacco, who noted Thursday that the team was “cautiously optimistic” about Swayman’s availability Saturday, said that the goalie “should be an option” for the matinee.

Hampus Lindholm skated with the main group again on Friday, albeit still in a red, non-contact sweater. The veteran defenseman has not played since Nov. 12 after taking a puck off the knee in a game against the Blues.

McAvoy, sidelined for the last five games because of an upper-body injury, did not skate on Friday. However, Sacco stressed that McAvoy has not had any setbacks.

I'm no Dr. Recchi, but if

He better be 100% long before then, otherwise no beuno to that silly, fake best on best thing!
#73 Is practicing today and not wearing a non contact jersey. So if he is healed and only plays one or two games before the 4N, he actually may benefit from playing to get back to 100% game shape.

While I am certain the physicality will be obviously more than the All Star game, its not going to be at the level of a RS game. These players are All Star caliber and can't see them running anyone. If Bennett pulls out for injury purposes there isn't one guy in the 4N I could see run anybody, not even Brady Tkachuk.
