Today’s Globe:

The Bruins remained without their top two blueliners, Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm, still sidelined by injury. Lindholm, out since Nov. 12with a knee injury, has been skating on his own for the last week and also participating briefly in the club’s on-ice drills. His next step: participate in full practices, including contact.

McAvoy, believed to be bedeviled by a wrist injury, sat out his third straight game. He also has been skating on his own, his injury still being “evaluated,” according to Sacco.

Cole Koepke, clobbered by a Darren Raddysh hit Jan. 14, left the ice on rubber legs and per Sacco remains “in protocol” — standard language for players who’ve been concussed.

Can't wait to see this new iteration of Minimum Jones (I love that nickname, thanks @Saxon Eric!). Let's hope he can find a better balance between truculence and discipline this time around.
