I honestly can't tell if it's the knee or the foot, even with it slowed down.

NESN had some other replays. You can see from this freeze frame that the point of impact was either right on or just below the left knee. Guessing either a fractured patella or more probably one of the lower leg bones. Lindy walked down the tunnel unassisted so hopefully just a hairline fracture or similar. Still nasty.

Could be only muscular but given where the hit was, bone feels more likely to me.

DALLAS — The Bruins will be without Hampus Lindholm for weeks, coach Jim Montgomery said following Wednesday’s short afternoon practice at American Airlines Center.

The veteran defenseman suffered a lower-body injury when he blocked a Justin Faulk shot late in the first period of Tuesday’s 3-2 win over the Blues in St. Louis. Replays were inconclusive but it appeared Lindholm absorbed Faulk’s shot just above the right knee.

“It’s going to be weeks,” said Montgomery. “So, ‘weeks’ is plural. Don’t ask me next week, please.”
