It is phonetic.. Pronounce the letters as they would be pronounced on their own.

Finnish is phonetic, the only thing that's not pronounced phonetically is ng which uses the ng sound instead of n and g(as in "lunge").

There are also such curious exception like the word "univormu" which is more or less pronounced along the lines of its Latin/French/English origins as regards the "v" which equals [f] of the source word(s) "uniform(is)"

Or I donno how people say "univormu" in different dialects animating Finnish provincal country side, let alone the older folks/elderly people. Maybe "uniVoRmu" but we "civilized"urban people like to have our coffee with F as well as ... uck
