I'll be about 6-8 beers deep by the time this match comes on.

Don't take wrestling too seriously boys, this could be really fun.

This makes no sense from a business standpoint. You could put any active wrestler in the same spot and draw the same level of interest and money. Instead, they are I'm sure paying for Goldberg's name even though that name isn't worth anything to wrestling fans in 2016.

So I guess their reasoning was that the last match was so good that they absolutely needed to do it again.:help:

I think the appeal is trying to make Survivor Series a big deal again. They matched it with NXT and Raw like they do for Wrestlemania and Summerslam

Younger fan here, what are some good Goldberg matches to watch. I know I watched a match of his with Raven for the US title that I thought was great and another with DDP that I enjoyed. But that was just browsing YouTube. I'd like to watch his best stuff.

Goldberg was more hype. It's something you would have to live through to experience fully.

As for the answer above regarding survivor series. The rock also returned to survivor series in 2011 I think. He had a long time period off also.

No we just won't watch it cause it's ****ing stupid

I don't know man. How many of us were still tuning in for el torito (who actually has the highest win percentage in the wwe for wrestlers with more than 25 matches) or for the Adam Rose and the bunny segments.

Lol look how many people here still watch Raw live on a weekly basis. I wouldn't even do that if I had nothing else to do. Everyone will tune in for Goldberg.

That's just the thing. We won't tune in for Goldberg. We will tune in because we are hardcore wrestling fans.

Consider this from the perspective of a casual fan.

If they are a kid, Goldberg is just some guy your dad used to mark for. There's nothing cool about wrestlers your dad watched when he was young.

I they are an adult, they likely have outgrown wrestling considering they are a casual fan and Goldberg isn't drawing them back to a company they only have a passing interest in.

So who are they trying to draw in here? Fans from the late 90's who still watch wrestling? Those folks are already watching Survivor Series anyway. It's a waste of the company's money and it's a waste of a main event match. They could give that spot to a young guy who is hungry but instead it goes to a middle aged man looking for an easy paycheck just because said middle aged man was famous over a decade ago.

Fans of Goldberg, like me! :)

I don't really care how they use their money. Old time stars like this will continue to be used and I still think Goldberg will draw. At least wait and see how it goes first before moaning and groaning about it.
