For those who have seen Bridgeport games this season, is there any hope for our prospects?

Just by stats, it seems that Jeffries is the only viable prospect. Foudy and Karlsson have scored a bit but they’ve been disappointments based on their draft status and they haven’t exactly taken a leap this season.

Maggio and Dufour have to be the biggest disappointments. 4 goals in 45 games between the 2 of them. I know they were 5th round picks but their post-draft seasons clearly got my hopes up way too high.

If there was better progression at Bridgeport, Lou’s typical TDL moves or even standing pat might be defensible. Not now. No way.

I'm not sure what this says about BP and/or the big club, and I could be wrong with this recollection, but it seems like there have been guys who were called up and did better in the NHL than they did in the AHL. I've definitely noticed that with +/- stats.

I don't consider Foudy a prospect because he has NHL experience from another organization. As for other players in BPT, I still have hope that Maggio can play in the NHL as a bottom 6. I'm willing to write off the fact that he doesn't have Ruslan Ishkakov skating alongside of him. I also would keep an eye out for Marshall Warren on defense. He's just started his pro career.

There is not a lot of pro potential from this roster. Consider that things are tough for them because George, Cholowski, and Hutton are all up with the parent club. So much so that they had to bring back Seth Helgeson on a PTO last month.

Our best prospects are currently in the NCAA.

I thiught Gatcomb showed something in preseason, let's see how he progresses the next 18 months

I believe it was last year that there was some modest preseason hype regarding Maggio. The last prospect I can recall that had serious buzz around his preseason performance was Barzal.

That’s a long time between drinks of water.
