That's good news. Can you elaborate? From the little I've seen, he plays a simple pro style game and has pretty decent wheels.

A couple small breaks the other way, and Bridgeport could be up 2-0 in the series instead. It’s been pretty close so far.

He has all of that, he has no fear of getting into the corners. Everything you'd want from a pro except the ability to snipe.

And after watching McMichael in the NHL playoffs I'm seeing why the Islanders thought Holmstrom was the better pick.

I've been one of Holmstrom's biggest supporters here, glad to see his game is coming along. Makes it easier to trade a forward in the offseason.

Holmstrom likely will not make the roster out of camp next season, but I definitely see him as one of (if not the first) call up.

It would be akin to when the Islanders had Lee start the year in the minors only to call him up 1-2 months later and he won a job.
