I’m not sure how rd1 coincides with the remainder of NYIs season. But can Wahlstrom and Dobson be sent down? If so, do they?
Dobson-no way. However Aho should be sent down there.

I would send Wahlstrom down there. Does he need to clear waivers to be sent down? If so then don’t send him.

That’s what I would like to know. Do they need to go through waivers? And, will they be allowed to play in the playoffs? Also, do the playoffs start after the NHL regular season ends? I wouldn’t send anyone down before then.

Pretty sure Aho has to clear waivers. He’s also now an UFA this offseason. Didn’t play enough games to remain a RFA.

Wahlstrom is waivers exempt, Dobson and Aho are not. Anyone you can put on Bridgeport's roster is playoff eligible

Thanks. Considering how diminished Wahlstrom's ice time has been at the NHL level, I gotta think they would want him to get more playing experience. Especially playoffs.

Yea absolutely no reason to send Dobson down, give him a long offseason in the gym, he will gain nothing from the ahl.

Walhstrom should absolutely be sent down for the playoffs, maybe he can regain some confidence down there.

He’s been kinda meh. Not to mention his man skated past him (as well as LaDue losing the goal scorer in front of the net) on the first Springfield goal.
@MJF what would your grade on Raty last night?

Plenty of good seats still available!

Raty looks good. Made a nice read and intercepted a pass for a clear shot, but shot it just over the net

Nothing spectacular. Wasn’t on the ice for any goals against, ok on faceoffs, knows where to be in his own end, had that beautiful pass to Bardreau in the 3rd period. I’d like to see more of him lol.

Wahlstrom can’t go down, he wasn’t on their roster at deadline.

Much like the regular islanders, these guys don’t capitalize on their chances either.

This is just an aside, but as far as Dobson, Wahlstrom, Bellows, and Aho go, let's hope that most are getting invited to play for their nation's WC team.

That's always a great experience and serves as a real nice way to end the season on a high note.

Plenty of players who had rough winters ended their season at that tournament and were able to get a bit of a new lease on hockey life.

I am 1000% certain that Canada will be inviting Dobson.

Not sure about the other three although my gut feeling tells me that Bellows may get the invite, along with half of the Buffalo Sabres.

Dobson is a RFA needing a new contract, I don't think he would be going to the WC and risk injury.

I would definitely like to see him go because it would be a great experience though.

Indeed. And that's a good point with Dobson.

And why I only mentioned that he'd be invited by Team Canada.;)

He‘ll go if asked, imo. The allure of the Team Canada sweater is pretty huge up here for these guys.
