I agree. Was a great save, but its not the SOTY. I will say that he did a great job of getting over and covering that angle, though. But, not flashy enough to claim SOTY.

That always goes to some desperation fluke save.

Its a double edged sword playing behind Turek, on one side you get to learn from one of the all time greats, on the other side you'll never take his place.

Come on, this thread is to reinforce ignorance.. Not to solve it. Elliott is a mediocre backup who made the All-Star team because 30 other goalies got ill. He was only given the title of No 1 when Joseph, Fuhr, Casey and Turek were dealing with arthritis. He's clearly a product of the system the Blues employ which puts alligators, trap doors, snow men and several holograms of Chris Pronger all over the high scoring areas.

He's a faker.

IF Quick made that save it would be awesome. It's Elliott though, so who really cares?

That's the difference, Quick plays in front of the Oilers and their horrid defense. Elliott is merely a bystander on the Blues. Sometimes I think he could just throw one of his leg pads in front of the net and get the win.
