Would like the Zibanejads to be his billet family. Mika takes him home, "Hon, we've got another one."

"Good. He can help with the babysitting."

Just please don't play the kid on the 4th line but if Bonino is his center on the third line it's basically like he is on the 4th line.

This is a mistake for anything more than a cup of cofee. He is not ready and is in that point where rushing him makes him a perrenial third liner and letting him develop some more can make him a scoring 2nd liner. He's not there yet.

Surprised, assumed he was 100% cooking in Hartford all year barring massive injury train. Hope they give him at least a few games and good deployment.

Calling him up gives both him and the team a chance to see where his game is at and what he needs to work on. Unless he really kills it, I seriously doubt he'll be up for more than a few games. There are other players who could get a cup of coffee as well if necessary until we get some people back.

I think the injury train became a big issue in NY. We have Chytil and Kakko out long term. I know Chytil doesn't really effect the decision because Chytil is a center, but it's kind of a snowball effect where enough depletion of upside and talent causes a bunch of issues in the middle and lower ends of the roster. Chytil, Kakko, now Pitlick to a lesser degree. The forward scoring depth took a hit. The 3rd line has been stale other than Cyulle. No real defined role for them. The 4th line is a match up line, the top 2 lines are obviously scoring lines. At the start of the season the 3rd line was also a scoring line but because it lost 2 of the 3 of them since then its become lost a bit in the shuffle of what is their role. Adding a player like Othmann who has a lot of upside to add to Cyulle, now has potential to go back in the direction of scoring line. That center spot needs work though. Brodzinski can fill in I believe he's been used as a center with the Rangers previously, please anyone correct me if I am wrong.

Hopefully he sticks. If not at least its good to get him a look at what the NHL is about and he can use that experience if he goes back to Hartford. All part of the process.

The injuries have hurt us. Which is wild to say because of how successful the team has been so far, but it's stating to take its toll.

This is how i predicted it from the start of the year, he stays in the a til the new year, they give him some time in january and see how he works.

We put the kid gloves on KK and Laf. How did that pan out?

No hat trick tomorrow, then he can rest his weary head in East New York for the remainder of the season.

Kid better not f*** this up!

(60-70 points... in the playoffs in the bag for this kid!)

Hopefully he plays well but I wouldn't be surprised if Lavi breaks him in slowly.....but we'll see. If Pitlick is out for a while he makes 12 forwards or at least until one or the other of Pitlick/Kakko come back. There's also Edstrom who played really well in his one game. It's good in a sense for him, it's good in the sense that the Rangers get to see Othmann before April.....that we have an idea whether he'd be okay if we needed him for the playoffs, games now can be a primer for him later....something I'd rather see now so he'll be more ready later. Also if it goes well enough it's one less reason to trade draft picks or prospects off at the deadline.

Imo the best spot for him is with Zib and Kreider but I'm doubtful they do that. He should play with skilled players, but it's likely he ends up with Brodz who he's played a little with and Cuylle imo. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could add from within and not waste draft picks and prospects at the deadline? I'd also like to see Robertson get some time as well, maybe Sykora, Edstrom, Rempe and Berard as well. We have spots for guys it would be nice to see what we got.
