Probably not going to get claimed, I wonder what the plan is with him going forward.

His contract was always a risk and the Rangers made a bet on him that he would be the player he was in the playoffs if given a true top 4 role instead of yo-yoing around like he did in Detroit.

Instead, he let them down from the jump by coming into camp out of shape. All season he's struggled to even play at a 3rd pair level. Honestly, Holden is better than Smith and 1/3 the price.
