I'd kill to have him on the Bruins....He might end up being an even better version of Marchand.

I know Gallagher is small, but I could not understand how no team pick him up in the first four rounds. Good steal by the Habs.:handclap:

Despite his size, he definitely seemed to have that "it" factor in the WJCs. (Not really) glad to see he can keep it up in the bigs

Big person complex.

Everyone is always so surprised when a little guy is given a chance and he does well.

Its the chance thats rare with small guys, not the 'it' factor.

When I was watching the game the other night they said on tv that Lucic was pushing for boston to draft him since they have the vancouver giants connection. Glad they didn't listen to him. :D:nod:

He just seems to have such a sunny personality, always smiling and having fun in the games. He's a bit of an agitator, and I'm sure goalies don't like the way he doesn't respect the blue paint, but I think he is genuinely just so happy to be playing the game, it's kind of infectious and he's fun to watch, because he's having fun.

agreed, i'd even suggest he's been one of the main reasons for the Habs suprising success, wouldn't have thought that he would do so well in his first pro season. Overall i've been very impressed with what he's doing out there.

I think his talent is underrated. He has top notch acceleration (he gets to the corner first on loose pucks) and even though he might not have Datsyuk style stick-handling, he has lightning quick hands that allow him to perform great power stick handling moves in close or off the rush.

The main thing about him IMHO is that he NEVER gives up, and always does things with urgency. He doesn't let up if there's 0.8 seconds left in the period. He doesn't let up if some 6'4" defender is going to paste him in the crease. He just always go-go-goes. He isn't experienced enough yet to make the most of that core asset. But he is just so damned *keen* every time out there. Guys have good speed or good hands or good whatever, but the thing to me that really makes Gallagher special is his enthusiasm in general.

Gallagher is listed at 5'9", but he is probably closer to 6'4".

he's absolutely ****ing fearless. haven't seen a player like this in montreal in a long time. Completely balls-to-the-wall, get to the net bat****. huge compete for a little guy + exceptional shot
