Looking at his most recent close comparables (small WHL forwards with similar scoring at same age), either to be a Tyler Ennis except RW and not a C or a Nigel Dawes.

Kinda reminds me of Brad Marchand: he could put up a good number of points while also heckling the opponent. Only difference is that when Gallagher heckles, he'll be smiling.

I get what you're saying, but as a 5th round pick i'm not sure he could ever be considered a bust.
He's got real top 2 line upside, so that in and of itself makes him a successful pick i think. I'll be curious to see what he can get done as a pro this season.

He doesnt have Enni's high end skill or Marchands size. However he looks alot like Theo Fleury when he skates, dont want to be a downer but I dont think he has the high end skill to overcome his size and be a top 6 in the nhl. Mostly because his shots a muffin, I dont see him beating many NHL goaltenders. However he has a nose for the net and is tenacious around the puck, hopefully I am proven wrong he seems like a really good guy with a great attitude.
I've been watching this guy for so log in Vancouver. I will not be surprised if he becomes a 20-30 goal scorer in the NHL in a couple years... So much talent.

Don't see the NHL scoring line abilities in him. Nice player but probably not an NHLer. I'm sure he'll warm to the AHL quickly, get pushed around/overwhelmed in the NHL in callups, and probably carve out a nice career in europe.
From the few games I've seen him in...he seems to have a heart of a lion/winner, great attitude (team player), very very feisty on ice (good for lots of garbage goals), and bonus part...always smiling! (seems like a good kid). Size? Not worried about size as long as he has a huge heart. Some players are 6'2 or 6'3 but have zero heart.
Some comparisons? (or wishful thinking

Steve Sullivan, Gionta, a more gritty/feisty Samsonov...and I like the Ferraro comparison. Maybe Gallagher can be a mini-Theoren Fleury? (I'm allowed to dream!).

From what I know Theo Fleury is 5'6...Gallagher is 5'8 (5'9-5'10 now?! I'm hoping he's still growing! maybe all the way to 5'11!!

I find him to have a similar style to M St Louis. he seems to see the ice pretty well. his shots may not be the best ones, but rebound goals don't require you to have one.

I see comparisions to Brian Gionta, but I think he has some hints of Marchand to his game as well. He drives to the net with the puck and is not afraid to take a facewash or shoved around a bit. He's extremely quick and possesses a nice shot, but he's more of a pass-to guy than a puck carrier. In my opinion, having him on a line with Galchenyuk - a puck carrier and good passer - and Prust - a guy who can protect Gallagher when he's stirring up a storm - is a brilliant idea by Therrien. It allows Gallagher and Galchenyuk to play their game, while not having to worry too much about being disturbed.

He's pretty feisty and always around the net. The latter part reminds of Gionta. I haven't seen him shoot enough yet to know if he could score quite as much as Gionta, though. He always seems to be doing short-distance stuff and charging in for garbage and rebounds. Very small to be doing that against NHL defense size and strength, of course, but he seems to be resilient. 
If he can score 20 one day and get his skating up to the point where he is effective defensively and at agitating in all zones, not just the goal crease scrambles, then he'll be quite an effective player.

He should top Gionta...Gallgher scored 20 points in 36 games in AHL, as 20 year old. Gionta scored 25 points in 37 games his first year in AHL. But as 23 year old.

He knows what to do with a puck and he's always around the net somewhere looking for rebound or something. Despite the small size, he's not afraid of anything. Have some good hands.

That's not how it works.
Gionta is a lot faster, he's much stronger and his shot is way better. Though Gallagher has better hands and his ability to find pucks around the net is impressive.
But size and strenght are his main issue. I could see him developping in a second liner, but not as good as Gionta.

Gionta, I don't know why, is severely underrated on HF.
People doesn't seems to realize that 28 goals in 61 games is a lot. 29 in 82 games the next year. He is a very good goal scorer. Last year he had injuries problems and the team aside the 1st line was underwhelming. He average 28g per 82 games since he is in the NHL.
And most habs and non habs fans, considers him to be a fringe top-6 forward.

He really is an intense forward, fast and very strong on the puck despite his size, and will not be intimidated.
I have not seen real top end offensive skills yet, but he's been doing fine as a rookie on a poor Hamilton team, and did light up the WHL. I see him become a 2nd or 3rd line offensive guy that is very valueable because of his forechecking ability, skating and nose for the net.
