Boyle actually has a better games played ratio than Klein.

.75 vs .57

Obviously Boyle's career has been much longer, but he had a whole season lost due to the big lockout.

Glass's salary drops each year so he is an option for a cap floor team.

39 vs 30 are the only two numbers that matter now

I also find it interesting that 38 year old Boyle played the same amount of games last year as 29-30 year old Klein

also have to point out how unflexible our d is.

cant go staal-klein thats a disaster
cant go Yandle-Girardi thats awful at life
mcdonagh-boyle isnt great and probably will get exposed by top lines.
mcdonagh on the offside risks injury
yandle is awful on his offside.
staal-girardi couldnt breakout pass against air.

gotta c where mcilraith fits in with the chemistry. probably with yandle or mcdonagh.

And?

Doesn't change the fact that he benefits more from games off than Klein.

If Klein is tired come playoff time, he has no excuse.

If Boyle is tired come playoff time, he has an excuse. He's having grandchildren in a few years..

Maybe Moore+Glass for Bryan Bickell with Chicago retaining $1.5 if he's not picked up on waivers by anyone.

“@rangersreport: Gorton to MSG: McIlrath "forced our hand" to make the team.â€

Whats he going to say "he played ok, but we are forced to keep him because we may lose him in waivers!"

Rangers will start with 14 F per Vigneault.

Pat Leonard ‏@PLeonardNYDN 2m2 minutes ago
Vigneault says #NYR are sticking with 23 to start. That keeps Glass and Etem both around for now

We will never get rid of Glass

The difference is that being 39 had everything to do with Boyle breaking his hand, while being 30 had nothing to do with Klein breaking his wrist. I'm surprised you can't see the difference.

Keeping Glass over Diaz is an atrocity

Diaz was insurance in case of multiple defensive injuries

Glass is insurance for nothing

#NYR HC Alain Vigneault says that Dylan McIlrath would have likely been claimed on waivers had the Rangers attempted to send him down.

You know I'd almost understand this if it wasn't noted trash on skates Tanner Glass that still "needs evaluating".
