I love how butthurt some people get over a loss. Their tears are delicious!

Maybe we should have a watch party there for Game 3? Haha

Funny stuff.

Not surprising at all but very funny. I hope they get hosed and lose their bus over it.

F You Silvio's!

LA Restaurant tells LA sports team to go F itself.

Smart business people.

For the tip we can write "GKG" and afterwords write on Yelp that the food gave us dysentery.

In all seriousness, I wouldn't want to give them business.

I would be hilarious to call them and place a to go order for a "Go F yourself"

It's totally surprising. Shocking, actually. That's business suicide. Some of the players live there! There's probably more Kings fans in Hermosa than most other parts of LA.

Stupid move and they deserve the impact to their business they are going to receive.

The sad thing is the place had pretty good yelp reviews before the moronic banner went up, now anyone visiting the South Bay who uses yelp is going to think the food is garbage. I travel quite a bit for work and use the yelp app a lot to find places to eat near where I'm staying and usually only will read reviews on places with atleast 4 stars, all these 1 stars are going to drag the place down big time.

I hope this was the owners call to put that up, because if it was a manager or an employee they are going to cause serious serious damage to the guy, so hopefully it was his own stupidity.

Do kind of feel bad for the wait staff and bartenders if business suffers.

I do and I don't.

I actually don't wish anyone any real suffering but in this case considering where the place is located and the fact that several of the Kings and staff live in Hermosa Beach it is a look at the mentality of the way the place is run. I mean if I owned that place I would have gone in that day and fired the mgr (if it was indeed an mgr) and taken out an add at least in the Beach Reporter (is that still the mag there?) saying sorry for the mistake and inviting anyone wearing a Kings item in for a 20% off everything promo.

If they go down over this then so be it. If they are dumb enough to bite the very hand that feeds them then so be it.

I too travel a ton on bus and use Yelp among others and it has about a 50/50 success rate but they do point out a good one now and then. We will see I guess how this shakes out. Probably nothing comes from it.

It isn't surprising to find stupidity in a bus owner in the soutbay though is it?

I don't think it is anyway. They deserve whatever comes from their stupidity on this thing. Alienating a large part of your customer base is never a smart thing to do but it happens all the time. Ego's and such.

First of all, any business that actually has that word on a large banner in front of their business won't be in business long. There are kids that read that stuff, and they will tell their parents its ok to use that word since they saw it on a (sic) respectable business front.

I think the sign should be forced down from the local authorities just because it is a public nuisance.

Secondly, screwing with a fan base in the same city in that manner shows incredibly poor business sense. I don't think they will be around very long if they continue to display the banner. Their best strategy at this point is to take it down and act like it never happened.

They are getting hammered on Twitter, but interestingly, not on their own Twitter account. Some people have responded there (you knew I would), here it is if you want to make your voice heard:

I've hung out there several times. The people are genuinely nice people. It's a place where Chicago fans hang out for all sports. Someone on their staff got a bit carried away, that's all. Go Kings

If it was a staff member, I'm wondering how the boss feels about him/her?

You know, I get all the transplant Chicago fans and them attending the games, etc. I don't like the numbers but I understand.

But this waaaayyyyyy over the top, don'tcha think?

One of the Yelp reviews:

Roaches were everywhere! Tried to help management clean them up by catching them in nets but for some reason the staff kept missing. GKG

I guess that's a play on the whole "cockroach" theme?

The Kings are the only team with a Brazilian born player

Another Yelp comment:

I ate here once. I had this constant ringing in my ears the whole time -

CRAWWWFORD

CRAWWWFORD

CRAWWWFORD

It was brutal.

Maybe they were planning on re-locating to Chicago? Only thing I can think of that makes sense. Otherwise this is economic suicide.
