Wait Tage Thompson. Point for Thompson seems like a good base.Sabres would basically just let you pick whatever combo you want not named dahlin.
Ideally, Flames throw in a prospect or two to help replenish a pretty dry well for TB (not Parekh, I understand), but I wouldn't be dissatisfied with a trade like this. Why so quick to take it? Is Andersson not as good as advertised? I feel like he would be pretty good with TB
Let's assume Point would waive for Buffalo, I'd want JBB to fetch back Tage Thompson + NHL ready prospectAs a Bolts fan (and a gigantic Brayden Point fan) I think of all the big contracts to move it would probably be his.
A couple potential trade scenarios (that may be delusional, Idrk)
To Calgary (Point is from CGY, maybe would accept a trade there, CGY needs offense)
Brayden Point, rights to Isaac Howard
To Tampa: Rasmus Andersson, Zayne Parekh, Ryan Lomberg
OR Rasmus Andersson, Nazem Kadri, some sort of picks
To LAK (Reverse Lightning composition where they have league best D and it falls apart vs Edmonton)
To LAK: Brayden Point
To Tampa: Brandt Clarke, Alex Laferriere, Tanner Jeannot (Lol)
To Buffalo: (they want NHL players and have a ton of prospects, but doubt Point would waive)
Brayden Point, rights to Isaac Howard
To Tampa: JJ Peterka, Bowen Byram, Jack Quinn/Zach Benson
Kings need to blow up this team and rebuild under an actual GM. They need to build around the young players that they have. Not that your proposal is out of line, I don’t see the Kings a Brayden Point away.As a Bolts fan (and a gigantic Brayden Point fan) I think of all the big contracts to move it would probably be his.

Cirelli is on year 2 of an 8 year and just had a career year in points. Why would you deal him, and if that's realistic, whats the price tag? He'd have interest around the league.Last offseason, TBL tried to start a small retool, Geekie McDonagh Moser in, Sergachev, Stamkos out. I d assume they would try to do something similar this offseason, Like Dealing Cernak, Cirelli or Paul but Point I don t see the point.
What a great post! For Buffalo, I’d trade three 2nds and two 3rds for him but I’d want to do it in 2014 when we passed on him five different times to take five guys who combined for 13 Buffalo Sabres games played. All of them by Jonas Johansson.
Following the premise from OP that Point would be available.
Even though it'd be risky to go all in for the playoffs with two sub-6ft C1 & C2, Point is so unbelievably good that I'd pay an awful lot to bring him to Montreal. I bet he would be indecent with Demidov as his new Kucherov.
Any package of players from MTL typically gets ridiculed on this board but I think we'd be looking at 5x1st valuation (which I believe MTL could actually afford). From what I gather from JBB interviews, he doesn't actually value 1st round picks as highly as most GMs, which complicates building this offer.
If TBL is looking for any of Suzuki/Caufield/Slaf/Hutson/Demidov, which I would somewhat understand, then I feel MTL would back out, not because of value but because of the effect on the core longevity. I would add that Guhle/Reinbacher/Fowler would be very hard to replace as well.
I listed 5 no-go's and 3 painful yesses, two of which are prospects. That’s like half your roster you don’t want to trade for Point
