Timing is right for it. Reality check for the team, and opportunity to improve and regain confidence before they start playoffs.Welp. Not our night. Getting worked pretty good.
Londons game plan was on point, and the Bulldogs didn't fight through. LDN pk and being heavy on the puck from start to finish.Timing is right for it. Reality check for the team, and opportunity to improve and regain confidence before they start playoffs.
Still blows my mind no one in the WHL wanted Elliott…
Really need the depth to stay healthy. I know its an obvious thing yo say, but the roster is really top heavy in the F group. Not gunna lie…worried this team is going to be toast by the time playoffs arrive.
Deja vu of last year battling for the top spot in the conference and by the time April hit there wasn’t a whole lot left in the tank. This year has been a longer, tighter, bigger battle for that top spot. Hope I’m wrong and we can actually roll into the playoffs with 4 full lines…
Don’t we all know it. There is plenty of additional talent on the team, but none of them have been consistently healthy to allow any other lines to develop chemistry.Really need the depth to stay healthy. I know its an obvious thing yo say, but the roster is really top heavy in the F group.
For sure just one of those junior hockey games that happens. One of those games where everything just went right.
Huge congrats to Lardis. What a season!
Also, wondered why he grabbed the puck after his 69th goal and then realized Patrick Thomas had just set the all time Bulldogs scoring record. Great job by Thomas as well.
This weekends games really showed how much influence O'Brien has in the lineup. They became a 1 line team very quickly when he wasn't there.(as opposed to their normal 2 lines lol)
Would love to see the Ottawa game not have meaning in the standings and get Egorov into a game.Lenders won goalie of the week again. He's been lights out for a while now. Really good pickup .
I don’t think you’ll see him sign with the Caps..I think he’ll end up playing somewhere in the NCAA next year, and then maybe signing with another NHL team at some point depending how his NCAA journey goes.Hey Bulldog fans... Caps fan here, who doesn't think he's ever actually seen Patrick Thomas play.
BLUF: Does he have NHL potential?
Hes 20 and needs to be signed (or his rights given up) by June 1. He's obviously got good numbers, has had good numbers to varying degrees for a few seasons now. But I don't know if his numbers are because of his age/experience, maybe who he plays with, or if he's legitimately 'good'.
It's fairly rare to see players with significant NHL potential play 5 seasons in the OHL, which is what prompts the question. I've had a weird fascination with "why isn't he signed yet" since last season. Per the Bulldogs site, he's 6'0" and 178 lbs, which is light for the pros, but I'm guessing with the right training environment he could add weight. (Not a guarantee of course, but hopeful.)
Educated opinion from a Caps fan that closely follows junior hockey is that Thomas is deserving of a contract, at least, but isn't willing to guess at his long term outcome.
Any guesses as to whether he'll be AHL quality next season (in a DEEP org), or ECHL? (Or, other)
Thanks in advance.
Much appreciate the opinion, thank you. Given the Caps' depth, going the NCAA route you theorize might be a good move for him.I don’t think you’ll see him sign with the Caps..I think he’ll end up playing somewhere in the NCAA next year, and then maybe signing with another NHL team at some point depending how his NCAA journey goes.
He’s one of those guys with very high IQ that is 3 steps ahead of everyone else. Playmaker Patty.
I tend to agree with the other reply you received. He doesn't really have any physical tools that jump up and impress you.Hey Bulldog fans... Caps fan here, who doesn't think he's ever actually seen Patrick Thomas play.

Deja Vu from the London game earlier this month. Hopefully they rebound in the same manner as they did last time this happened.Welp. That was wet hot garbage juice.
