Do we know the timeline for Egorov to return? Leenders was playing a lot recently before Egorov got injured
Week to week, but I have no idea what that really means.

Some of the other guys that have been day to day have missed multiple weeks.

If anyone hasn't seen it, I encourage everyone to go and check out the Duthie interview of Zach Hyman.

Proof will be in the pudding, but sure seems like the dogs are in good hands with his family for the ownership.

It was another fantastic interview from the ownership group.

There seems to he a large presence of family and friends of the Hyman’s at most of the games and they announced another big donation coming (matching the current 50/50 which is currently over $20K (on top of the $100K they donated when they first took over).

They’re saying and doing a lot of the right things right now and I hope it continues. It was a bit reassuring to hear that Andlauer wasn’t necessarily looking to sell, and that they had also been interested in a acquiring a team for some time, and it sounds like it was an organic, just the right time moment for all parties. I trust that Andlauer wouldn’t hand it over to just anyone and the Hyman’s feel genuinely committed to keeping the high standard that the organization has come to know and supporting the city that has welcomed them with open arms from day 1.

Yeah, so far they are putting up the $$. I think they actually said they are matching the 50/50 ticket sales, and not the take home. Which would put it over 40k at the moment.

Doesn't really matter, they just (so far) seem like great people and owners.

As far as tonight's game goes, just one of those junior hockey games that has the score get out of hand. Wild to see 3 hat tricks, not too often you'll be able to say we saw that.

Totally overshadowed Leenders having 40+ saves.

Exciting future ahead for Brantford! Ownership looks excited and to be in it for all the right reasons.

Ya, crazy to give up 1 goal on 40+ shots and not be a star. On the other hand I have never heard of 3 hat tricks in the same game before.

I keep telling my wife I need to take a decoy hat in case of hat tricks. Some of these hats are expensive. Crazy that they had 3.

Again, I want to praise the D upgrade at the deadline. Budnick is such an absolute intense beast. Getting more picks for Roberts than what we gave up for Budnick (yes, it was an OA trade so that has to be considered) was a masterpiece.

Edit: some updated injury news according to Brian Smiley of the Brantford Expositor...

Rossetto, Testa, and Jiricek still day to day. Holmes, and Egorov are week to week. Tsherna no set timeline.

Be real nice if Jiricek and Testa could ever find a way to stay healthy.

Too early to compare Budnick addition to Punnett's last year?

Maybe? But he kinda gives those vibes. It's not like Punnett had a big offensive game, but he did provide a little more than Budnick can.

The good news is the Bulldogs are just asking him to be stable, reliable, and mean. It let's Hamara be a little more aggressive on that pairing. It's the same thing, when healthy, they like with the 2nd pairing (Protz is the anchor, let's Jiricek be more aggressive on the O side of the puck).

Nobody wants to face you guys in the playoffs. My darkhorse prediction looking pretty good.

Predicted Barrie vs London in finals. You guys the Darkhorse despite hearing some other teams fans being very doubtful of that, predicted Mbuyi as the darkhorse for ROY and that’s looking great right now. Funny how things work out.

All I know is if the fronts face you guys round 1 I’m going to be beyond livid. You remind me of Niagara from years ago I think it was 2015-16 we had a real great team then faced Niagara and lost 4 close games 4 straight with a great goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic. Same type of feeling with you guys but potentially round 1. Hoping we face off against Niagara/Sudbury or even Brampton over you guys lol.

Also Budnick is a super underrated pick up. He was an amazing shot blocker on the team here and I think he was well liked and everything- perfect guy alongside Hamara. Scary good team.

I don't know how its going to shake out, but unless someone goes in the tank from 1-4, and someone from 5-7 wins out, I think it's fairly safe to say that Barrie, Oshawa, Kingston, and Brantford start at home.

Be careful what you wish for, because Brampton, Niagara, and Sudbury all offer different challenges.

Kingstons schedule the next little bit. Have pieniniemi, Willis, Soto, bishop out right now. Won against Kitchener, lost to Peterborough in a shootout so 3/4 to start isn’t too bad but downhill from here IMO
If anyone’s dropping I think it’s Kingston. Those 2 games against Niagara will be very important. I think Kingston finishes 4-6 and same with Niagara and Brampton. Wolves are an odd ball not sure what to think of them but as it stands right now Niagara has a 6pt lead over them- pretty much comes down to who has the harder schedules at this point for the middling teams(not barrie/oshawa/brantford) and not north bay, Ottawa or Peterborough.

You guys may finish 3rd in conference or as high as first but regardless I think I’d rather play Oshawa even over you guys at this point. Barrie and you guys I’d flip a coin for- either way very tough matchup and we along with the rest of teams likely lose barring injuries/sickness

Punnett was a better player, but their game is similar.

Jiricek just can't stay healthy. (or Testa for that matter)

If/when they get healthy they will be a VERY tough out in the playoffs.

08 born, 12th rounder last year, Schaus the backup today. Playing u18 for the Waterloo Wolves.

Facchina, 06 born, 5th rounder in 22 draws in as a F AP.

I can't post this in the soo thread because of thin skinned Soo fans but Miller is not an OHL calibre goalie and we wasted a 2nd round pick to draft him. *Fischhaber rage ensues*

Brantford continues to be a model franchise with regards to winning and rebuilding.

Seems there are some in their thread that feel the same.

The Bulldog fanbase, Hamilton and Brantford has had some solid leadership. Owners, management, and coaching. I think a lot of fans don't know how it looks in some other organizations.

I remember reading an article from TSN right before COVID I think it was, where they were ranking CHL teams based on factors such as the quality of the team's management, the community the franchise was based out of, on-ice success, and a couple of other things. London was #1, Kitchener #2, and the Bulldogs were actually #3. I don't know exactly how much that means, but it does show that we as fans have been spoiled with how successful the Bulldogs have been, both on the ice and off it.
