Barely got away with it. Whew.Nice win today. Getting 4 out of 4 pts against a powerhouse Generals team is huge.
Really dumb icing by Nelson late in the game, but they got away with it.
Really solid 3 in 3 weekend.
Today's was a snoozer, they had absolutely nothing in the tank and even less in the 3rd. No idea how North Bay looked like they had even less.
Budnick has fit in great so far. Really allows the top 4 D to have some balance. I like how they've separated Hamara and Jiricek and given each a solid, reliable, partner in Budnick and Protz. As I have predicted- you guys are really gelling and having a great team.
Just wait until Vanacker finally gets back to the way he was and I’m sure Budnick will be a great piece to your team. Us in kingston know how much of an asset he is to the team with him playing here for about 2.5 years.
You guys will be in the mix with us and Sudbury I think and perhaps have the best chance at knocking down one of the 2 big pillars of the east this year in barrie and Oshawa.
6-0…One of the best teams in the league no doubt.
Don’t know why people underestimated you guys. Since you’ve got back Hamara, jiricek healthy and Vanacker I’d love to know your record.
definitely the dark horse of the whole league. Not just east but league. Nobody wants to play you guys first round lol.6-0…
Post WJ Jiricek has been a game changer. Along with the upgrade of Budnick.
First half of the season, we struggled with the break out which ultimately impacts the rest of the offensive end of the game. The good D we did have were trying to do too much, and wearing themselves down. Having a solid back end with 5 arguably first line D is allowing a lot of other things to happen.
They’re less frustrated and therefore far more disciplined, they’re confident and motivated and winning battles which was not the case in October/November, among many other things that are clicking now. Ultimately, it appears everyone’s bought in. Just need to stay healthy…
AwesomeI also want to throw out an honourable mention to the new ownership team. Bulldogs Foundation made a $100K donation to Brant Community Healthcare System, and the new ownership team matched it. Talk about making a statement in showing commitment to the community.
