I think Luchenko goes to the highest bidder- Barrie, Brampton, Oshawa will all take a shot and given he's a London kid, Knights will likely be in. I'd say it's a heavier package than Barlow was given there is a chance he returns next year. Guelph lost big when Poitras made Boston I would think that would make them even more motivated to move Luch. I think its starts at 08 1st, solid young roster player and a bunch of picks to even get the conversation started.

For shits and giggles
Knights-Hawery, Arrowsmith or Fagan + picks
Barrie- Vaughan, J Newton + picks
Gens- Brady Smith, Gravelle + picks or O Griffen + picks
Brampton- Witkowski, Karmiris (late bday) may get it done
Brantford- O'Donnell, Tsherna + picks

Way too early to say this but if O’Donnell can have a Jake O’Brien rookie type season it’s going to be so tough to move on from him because not only does he have potential to be a superstar in the league but he might also be giving you decent production this year. I know you have to give up something to get something but he will be hard to part with.

I know Babin isn’t playing rate now but he was a high 2nd rounder. Maybe you could package Babin, Rossetto, plus a boat load of picks. Essentially I’m trying to make O’Donnell untouchable which I know will be hard to do if where looking at any high impact player in a trade

I get what you re saying but Luchanko will be just about any teams 1st out the door in every situation. He's that good. Zero chance that Guelph would ever entertain that kind of an offer from Brantford given what other teams would be offering. If I'm Brantford I'm not in on this. He could very well be a rental. Its more likely Brantford is a year maybe 2 away from really making a run as long as Obrien stays in year 2. Id be looking at moving Lardis in the summer unless season doesnt go as well then I'd move him for boatload at deadline and go on a 2 year run. I like the 06/07 group there and by all accounts O'Donell will be a very good 2nd year player next year. IMO the other teams in the East are just too strong and they aren't done.

If Guelph wants an 08, it has to be OD to get this type of deal done. 100% have to give to get in a trade like this.

The 1 thing I wonder is if the Bulldogs promised OD and his family that they wouldn't trade him. I get that he declared for the OHL over the QM for multiple reasons, but it's still a long way to move, and then be moved again.

Who would be interested in Lardis in the summer? It's highly unlikely that he will be back in the OHL next year.

Even if my some miracle he was, the Bulldogs will be good and could certainly use a guy that will score 50-60 goals.

Since conditions will be necessary with Jett, is it possible to add Malholtra and structure the deal to either offset conditional picks and or the need to include a player such as Tsherna?
Storm should be happy with adding 1 if not 2 08 1sts and Bulldogs add Luchanko for possibly 2 years and maybe only lose O Donnell from current roster.
Would this not be win win, albeit complicated.
