Nice road win last night.

As much as Roberts has improved this year, he has REALLY struggled lately. So many terrible turnovers. I think that less is more with him. He really needs to keep the game simple.

We probably shouldn't have defended him. Absolute selfish and brain dead play from #7.

Roberts is huge liability on our D. Constant penalties, kills any momentum we can get. It'll only get worse as games get harder.
Well, 2 PP goals against were all the difference Flint needed tonight. As predicted both caused by Roberts. If this team is serious about compete, he needs to be dropped. Too much liability.
At this point management needs to think out of box. Maybe converting one of O guys back to D. Rebelo comes to mind. Not much contribution offensively, but fast skater, plays hard on puck and players. He'd be good convert IMO.

I’d like to see McKee take the same approach with Roberts like he did with Arber Xhekaj around the start of the 2022 playoffs. Bench him for taking selfish penalties. Xhekaj smartened up pretty quick afterward since he logged 30 mins a game and still played tough, but he played on the right side of the line.

Roberts needs to do the same. His development has looked good this season, he can still play tough, but he needs some tough love so that he doesn’t set the team back. Not only did we lose today, but we’re likely without 2 D tomorrow (Roberts and Hamara) because of a selfish decision.

Lol, those two players shouldn't even be mentioned in same sentence.

Let’s not ignore that Xhekaj had similar issues. Xhekaj and Roberts can certainly be in the same sentence when comparing the lack of discipline and selfish penalties.

Benching Xhekaj helped his game immensely, and I think the same could benefit Roberts. There’s no reason why Roberts’ game can’t improve if he becomes more disciplined and picks his battles better. That’s all I’m saying.

He has been a decent 5th/6th dman until the past few weeks, but he has reverted to his old ways. Prone to giveaways and dumb penalties.

They definitely need him to be one of there top 6 next year as well because they lose Hamara and Sobolev.

I would definitely try to discipline him, although it might be tough depending on the severity of Hamaras injury.

Well, they will definitely need Roberts now.

Devastating injury for Okitundu. Going to be tough sledding for awhile with them now missing 2 dmen from a group that already lacked depth.

Hamara is week to week and that might have been a season ender for Okitundu.

And Sobolov gone for the game too. That rebelo on d idea might become a reality sooner than later

No suspension yet for Sobolev. There shouldn't be, but you never know nowadays.

With a game tonight, he should be in the clear I would think.

What a sloppy game defensively, 2 GA off defensmen skates, giving up constant breakaways, letting their forwards overskate them with speed.
Hope Hamara recovers fast, they need him so badly, what a pickup by GM.
Lucky to collect these 2 HUGE points.

Good question about Okitundu. I saw the injury take place - it was a weird one and I'm curious what the heck happened- it looked bad but there is no information anywhere about his injury.

Making the trip to Brantford tomorrow vs. Attack wonder if any posters will be in attendance 🤔

PM me if so looking forward to seeing the Civic Centre.
Take note that the only way to walk completely around the building is around the top.

Male washrooms are in front left and back right corner of the building. Female in the opposite. If go down the stairs in either back corner you have to come back up to go to other areas. You can not walk under the seating (excluding front lobby area).

Has there been a better player in Bulldogs history than Cole Brown when it comes to shootouts?

I rarely remember him missing.

Cole Brown is
2/2 in shootouts 2023-2024
3/3 in shootouts 2022-2023

Matthew Strome was 4/5 in shootouts in 2018-2019

That's all I could find on the stats page.

Thanks for the info. I didn't think he had missed.

Frankly he has embarrassed the goalie on most of them.
