I really don't know which Lightning fans you've been hanging out with because there's like 2 or 3 of them here on HF who've said that.Every single Lightning fan I saw

Turned out he was playing on a broken foot. How do Lightning fans feel about the shocking trade that nabbed him for two first-rounders (and more)? I know it may seem like an obvious one given his stats of the last three years, but as an Avs fan I mostly remember him being invisible in the 2022 playoffs and thinking that the Bolts didn't get a lot of bang for the buck to support their threepeat. Not hating the player, I just think it's an interesting case of a win-now/keep-it-going dilemma.
He had only 49 pts in 72 GP his draft year and being PPG in the CHL as an overager isn’t exactly a huge achievement considering you are playing guys 3 years younger59 points in 56 games that season. Maybe he didn't "blow the doors off", but he was ~ a point per game.
Asking price was way too highHagel was quite good and impactful vs the Leafs in round 1 that year. And the Leafs could of traded for Hagel but didn't choose to go for it
Serg is absolutely a #1 and will be for a very long time.Who fooled themselves regarding Serg being elite 1D?
Nobody on the Tampa board ever said that?Significantly better contract and value, he costs half as much as Nylander.
Not the better player, not even close. If you wanna be fooled the way you guys fooled yourselves about Sergachev being some elite 1D, be my guest.
Better value, absolutely Hagel ainec. Better player, Nylander.
“It makes me drive a little harder and try to get better every single day,” Hagel said about being let go by Buffalo. “Obviously it sucks but it’s nothing I can change. I just have to keep looking forward.
“I think I did what I had to do. I leave for camp right away and we’ll see what happens and if I’m back, I’m back.”
Hagel skated at Canadiens development camp in June and feels it’s been a case of so far, so good with Montreal.
“It’s been really positive. It’s my job now to prove [Buffalo] wrong and I think I put enough work in during summer. Now I need to prove myself.”
I have heard others say he didn't bother to attend anything Sabres related and without doing my own research, I just believed them, so definitely a very ignorant mistake on my part, apologies.Don't make shit up.
