Rehkopf seems to struggle to keep up with the play. He lacks the " will to win " mentality. Really good player that has to learn to shift gears when required.
IMHO this team needs a sparkplug player. Does not need to be a firstline player just a play by example player. Clattenburg in Flint is an example of that. Be safe.

Allard or some other 2-way OA forward and Clattenburg or McCue if available might be ideal

That Allard trade will be interesting. I have a feeling that return may end up shocking considering the market this year.

I think high. Like Wakely high.
Brampton fills their open OA spot with Lefebvre. This really makes me think BRAM is considering not buying this deadline

EDIT:
And then 30 minutes later they spend 3 cards on call-ups, which very rarely is done on teams who are looking to add big as cards get used up fast when doing that

Technically they haven’t spent any cards. First, they are all rookies so they have to play (I think) 8 games before their card is assigned. Second, we don’t even know if any of them will play in Brampton this year at all.

Absolutely shocked they added Lefebvre. I wonder if he is only a stop gap solution.

My thoughts exactly. Stop gap until the deadline for basically nothing and if the fit is right and he basically forces them to keep him then that’s good too. Basically a test drive for a month

Wonder what changed because PBO put him on waivers 2 weeks ago and nobody claimed him. Brampton could've had him for free at that point. I'd guess at that point they were planning on spending more to get someone better. But things have changed since then?

There’s definitely better OA options than Lefebvre available, but they’d be more expensive since it essentially cost Brampton ZERO to bring him in.

Ottawa paid an 8th round pick for Lawrence last season as a stop gap solution to bridge to the deadline. I can see this being the same situation.

EDIT: I am sort of surprised they didn’t acquire a cheap OA role player earlier to be honest.
