  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Weren't the Leafs going to submit a complaint about the Marner situation before Vegas threw them a bone with the sign and trade?
ya but don't think that has to do with talking to other players

probably has something to do with Marner and Vegas management working on a contract

So Wallstedt, Yurov and firsts in 27 and 28

Or

Picks 9, 25, 2029 and a 2nd in 27

Guerin seems to value Wallstedt like prime Carey Price, so I doubt he would have been in the offer, especially now that Gustavsson is probably going to miss some time after he gets his hip surgery.

I'd guess the offer might have been Yurov/Stramel and 2-3 1sts.

Bro I don't think this city has ever seen the amount of booing and outright vitriol we'll see when the Panthers come to town next season. I almost want to go just to throw my Brady jersey on the ice lol.

You clearly weren't around when Bedard, Yashin and Heatley made their first appearances as ex-Senators.

They could do a promo night, like bring your pet rock to the rink night, or compost your rotten fruit and vegetables night.

I'd rather they have a promo night, hand out small mini books since Tkachuk prolly can't read. Might not work though, not sure he'll have the capacity to understand why books are being thrown at him

Fair enough, but he was right about the incoming "big deal". Surprised he hasn't come back to this thread to gloat but he's probably busy buffing his Mercedes.
What are we saying he got right, exactly? That the Sens had "something big coming", literally less than 24 hours after Staios said they were looking to make a deal involving the #9? By definition that deal had to have come before Friday. And he offered no timeline and no specifics. Like, anyone could make that "prediction." That's more akin to astrology or fortune-telling than anything worthy of accolades.

I mean, he said something major was going on like 3 hours before the deal happened. He clearly didn't know the specifics but he seems to have a loose connection with someone in the org.

You're the one who engaged buddy, no one is forcing you to get your panties in a knot over me pointing out facts.
you seem to be the one who's getting their panties in a knot, just pointed out something I found funny, and here you are taking it personally. Oh well, have fun getting upset at everything,

Eh. It's possible, but given the poster's tone and braggadociousness elsewhere I'm far more inclined to believe this was just his usual bluster. Broken clock right twice a day and all that. There's really nothing of any substance to judge there.

He also mentioned it was a name that hadn't been on anyone's radar.

People were pissed at Yashin, but it was about greed. Everyone knew that if we had paid him, he'd have stayed. We just couldn't pay him.

People were pissed at Heatley, but that team was starting to decline. Everyone was starting to recognize that the window was over, and at least Heatley contributed to a great playoff run.

In this case, the team was on the upswing and finally looking like, with the right additions, it could contend. And Brady quit on it and demanded to be traded to a division rival after spending the entire year complaining that the rumors were a distraction and completely untrue when he full well knew that his dad was the primary source of the rumors and they were 100% true.

He will be booed more than anyone before him.
