Ok. Haha. Its the internet. I get it.

I was gonna let this one fade but every rection is a bunch of Jokers laughing.

So, let me get this straight.

Fox, Lafrienere, Othmann, + 1st for Tkachuck is wholey agreed upon a ridiculous over payment. With most saying Fox ALONE is worth more than Tkachuk by himself.

So....Lafrienere + 1st (minus Othmann my proposal) PLUS the difference between Fox/Tkachuk isnt worth Sanderson?

All the Jokers unanimously agree that:
Lafrienere + 1st + Fox's differential isnt worth Sanderson?

I mean. Debate the value. Come back with.."Well, we'd need xxx because roster..."

But just straight haha emojies? That many?

Grow up. Its not THAT wild of a proposal.

Just admit your proposal was terrible.

Losing Sandy and Brady would kill Ottawa as a franchise. Simple as that.

Go away or you'll force us to taunt you a 2nd time

Guys BTs value is the highest it’ll ever be. It would cost a fortune and a price that most wouldn’t be able to stomach to acquire him. It would be Fox + Shesterkin. Brady just became one of the most valuable players on the planet after this tournament. He’s not for sale unless you’re offering something we simply couldn’t refuse.
pass along what you're smoking

All the Rangers players were generally awful at 4 Nations so I don't see why Ottawa would want anything from them in exchange for arguably the best American player from 4 Nations.

Because good teams don’t generally evaluate a player on a 2-4 game sample size when they have a decade of NHL experience to evaluate instead?

Brady is getting massively overrated because of a 4 games stapled to much better players and starting a fight.

One player has a career PPG in the NHL of 0.85, has won the award recognizing them as the best player at their position, and been a finalist multiple years in a row for the same, and is one of the best defenders players in the league.

The other has a career PPG in the NHL of 0.79, has never been nominated or a finalist for any award, is not one of the best defenders at his position, and a reasonable case could be made that he isn’t in the top 5 of his position in his own division, and plays a historically far less valuable position baring all-time greats. But just had a 4 game sample size where he scored 0.75PPG next to two superior played and hits people.

The idea that one of the best defenders in hockey for half a decade isn’t worth a winger who has been PPG exactly one season in his career is insane.

There is the joke right there.

Start a poll then, Brady and Fox, I’m taking Brady 7 days a week.

That’s great for you. Nearly ever NHL GM, scout, and executive would disagree, but that doesn’t make your opinion wrong. Neither does my disagreement with your opinion.

No GM who values their paycheck would trade a defenseman who actually defends and has multiple years of elite play as evidenced by his award wins and nominations for a winger whom he outscores because the winger is 17 months younger and hits people.

Brady is, by NHL standards, smack in the middle of his scoring prime as a winger, and physical wingers historically end their primes earlier than everyone else behind shot-blocking defenders.

Fox is, by NHL standards, smack in the middle of his scoring prime as a defender, and defenseman who rely on their heads more than their physical tools historically end their primes later than everyone else behind centers who do the same.

The NHL execs have established a very clear hierarchy of positional value, and it’s not hard to validate. Elite RHD are prized just behind elite centers, and with extremely rare exceptions like prime Ovechkin or Kucherov - players who annually challenge for MVPs - no winger is every on that pedestal.

From positional value aside, Brady is behind Fox. Add it he’s being outscored by the same elite defender, and while there are likely a handful that would vote for physicality and truculence, those people generally don’t have their salaries, reputations, and/or careers literally on the line for being wrong. Those that do take the RHD nearly every time when they have a choice, whether in drafting or trades.
